New & Used 2026 Toyota Camry for Sale near Douglas, ON

Is the 2026 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Toyota Camry earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

It is built around practicality rather than flash, and that shows up in its standard hybrid powertrain, efficiency focus, and strong safety credentials. It is also described as comfortable and good to drive, which helps balance its more restrained personality.

The trade-offs are clear: the styling is uninspired, cargo space is limited, and the stereo is lacking. For you, that means the Camry makes the most sense if you want a familiar, easy-to-live-with midsize sedan that is cheap to own and dependable rather than exciting.

35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2026 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Camry is described as cheap to own and known for dependability, and its standard hybrid setup is presented as a practical, proven choice for everyday use. The expert assessment also points to strong efficiency and a straightforward ownership experience, which supports its reliability case.

Toyota’s performance content also frames the hybrid system as tried-and-true, with the car’s efficiency and drivability coming from a mature powertrain rather than a brand-new experiment. If you are buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is less about mechanical drama and more about whether the car’s modest packaging and feature set fit your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Toyota Camry?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE FWD is the entry point, while the SE Upgrade FWD adds equipment, the SE Upgrade AWD adds all-wheel drive, and the XLE AWD and XSE AWD sit higher in the range. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting more, especially if you care about cabin polish and convenience features.
• Powertrain: Every 2026 Camry uses a hybrid system built around a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and electric motors. FWD models make 225 horsepower, while AWD versions add a rear motor and increase output to 232 hp.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane centring assist, road sign assist, and high beam assist. Blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit warning are also standard.
• Infotainment: More affordable models use an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 12.3-inch screen is reserved for the XLE and XSE models in Canada, and it adds cloud-based navigation, destination assistance, and an Intelligent Assistant voice system.
• Fuel efficiency: Fuel economy ranges from 5.0 to 5.5 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, depending on trim and drivetrain. FWD models are rated at 5.0 L/100 km combined.

Which 2026 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2026 Toyota Camry is offered in 4 trim levels: SE FWD, SE Upgrade AWD, XLE AWD, and XSE AWD.

Here's the short version:

• SE FWD: This is the value play if you want the Camry’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get the standard hybrid powertrain, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the 8-inch touchscreen.
• SE Upgrade AWD: This is the best-value choice for many buyers because it adds more equipment while keeping the Camry’s efficiency and standard safety tech. It also gets AWD, which broadens its appeal if you want extra traction without moving all the way up the range.
• XLE AWD: Choose this if you want the more upscale side of the Camry, including the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen and the extra connected-services features that come with it.
• XSE AWD: This is the trim to consider if you want the sportier feel and appearance, along with the sport-tuned suspension and the higher-end tech package.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim for the core driver-assistance suite.

Should I buy a 2026 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• Choose the 2026 if: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

• Choose the 2026 if: Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

• Choose the 2026 if: It adds a sporty Nightshade Edition package for the SE Upgrade AWD and keeps the lineup mostly unchanged.

• Consider the 2025 if: It introduced the Camry’s new hybrid-only formula, fresh styling, and updated tech.

The bottom line: If you want the most current Camry with the latest trim mix and the added Nightshade package, the 2026 is the cleaner choice. If price matters most, the 2025 can still make sense because it brought the major redesign-era changes and may be the cheaper route into the same basic ownership experience.
