New & Used 2026 RAM 1500 for Sale nearVictoria, BC

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 a good car?

Generally — you rate the 2026 RAM 1500 4.3/5, and our experts score it 8/10. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

The 2026 RAM 1500 stands out because Ram brought the Hemi V8 back for 2026, giving you a characterful engine choice alongside a broad range of configurations. It also offers premium interior materials in high-end models, plus luxurious and off-road-ready versions, so it can suit you whether you want a more upscale daily driver or a more rugged pickup.

The trade-offs are that advanced safety features are not standard, and there is no base two-door work truck. The Hemi is also more about appeal than class-leading output, since the turbocharged six-cylinder options make more power.

With 31.4% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 RAM 1500 is presented as a well-rounded full-size truck with broad appeal, and the expert review points to strong overall capability rather than any obvious durability red flags. Its powertrains are described as smooth and well suited to the truck’s mission, and the Hemi V8’s return adds a familiar, proven-feeling option for buyers who want traditional truck character.

The performance notes also suggest dependable everyday usability, with all engines paired to an eight-speed automatic and four-wheel drive standard in Canada. Ram also includes useful ownership-minded features such as an Integrated Trailer Health Monitor and Trailer Reverse Guidance, which can help reduce stress when you tow.

If you plan to keep it long term, your main ownership risk is choosing the wrong configuration for your needs, especially if you want the best mix of power, efficiency, and value.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 RAM 1500?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Lower trims like Tradesman, Express and Warlock use blacked-out grilles and a more basic cabin, while Big Horn and Laramie add more visual polish. The entry-level Tradesman is especially sparse inside, with cloth seats, lots of plastic trim, and a small 3.5-inch driver display.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 3.6-litre V6 with eTorque, a 5.7-litre Hemi V8 with eTorque, a standard-output 3.0-litre Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six, and a high-output Hurricane inline-six in select versions. The turbocharged six-cylinder is the stronger and more efficient choice on paper, while the Hemi is more about character.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with trailer coverage, and rear cross traffic alert. Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Warning and traffic sign recognition are standard on Tungsten and available on some other models through option packages.
• Infotainment: Ram’s Uconnect 5 system includes standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Screen setups vary, with most trucks getting either a 7-inch or 12-inch digital display, while base Tradesman models use a smaller 3.5-inch unit. A 10.25-inch passenger screen and a full-colour head-up display are available on some trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged inline-six delivers superior fuel economy, by 1.6 litres per 100 kilometres compared with the Hemi V8.

Which 2026 RAM 1500 trim should I buy?

The 2026 RAM 1500 is offered in 12 trim levels: Tradesman, Express, Warlock, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, RHO, Limited, Longhorn, Tungsten, and the Hemi V8-equipped versions referenced in the test-drive data.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the most basic choice, with cloth seats, lots of plastic trim, a small 3.5-inch driver display, and a six-speaker audio system. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry point and can live without the nicer cabin touches found higher up.
• Express: This trim keeps the blacked-out look and standard six-speaker audio, so it suits you if you want a simpler, lower-priced Ram with a tougher appearance.
• Warlock: Like the other lower-end trims, it uses a blacked-out grille and standard six-speaker audio, making it a style-led choice if you want a more rugged look without moving up the lineup.
• Big Horn: This is the best-value trim in the lineup because it adds more style than the entry trims, including etched interior trim, while staying in the heart of the range. It also gets a nine-speaker audio system in the test truck described in the review.
• Laramie: This is the first trim that really leans into comfort, with leather upholstery and an especially smart available Bison Brown/Sea Salt Grey two-tone colour scheme. It also offers the Harman Kardon 19-speaker audio package.
• Rebel: This is the off-road-oriented choice in the lineup, with a distinct black grille and access to the Harman Kardon 19-speaker audio package.
• RHO: This off-road model shares the black grille treatment and is positioned as one of the more rugged-looking Ram 1500 variants.
• Limited: This trim brings open-pore wood trim and standard Harman Kardon audio, so it suits you if you want a more upscale cabin.
• Longhorn: Like Limited, it gets open-pore wood trim and standard Harman Kardon audio, but with its own upscale character.
• Tungsten: This is the luxury flagship, with high-end leather surfaces, a unique chrome-and-black grille mesh pattern, standard 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio, and standard advanced safety features including Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Warning and traffic sign recognition.
• Hemi V8-equipped versions: If you want the V8 specifically, the review makes clear that it is more about appeal and traditional truck character than best-in-class output, so it suits you if engine feel matters more than outright efficiency or value.

The safety package note to keep in mind is that advanced safety features are not standard across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 RAM 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 974 listings available.

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 safe?

The 2026 Ram 1500 earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA for the Quad Cab, while the Crew Cab loses a star even though its frontal, side and rollover scores match the smaller cab’s ratings.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with trailer coverage, and rear cross traffic alert. Ram’s hands-free Active Driving Assist is included with the Advanced Safety Group II package, but it requires the driver to stay alert, works only on certain roads, and may require a paid subscription after a trial period on some trims.

A key caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you need to check equipment carefully if driver assistance matters to you.

Should I buy a 2026 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The Hemi V8 returns for 2026, giving you a characterful engine choice.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It added major new technology and a hands-free driver-assistance system.

The bottom line: Choose the 2026 if you want the Hemi’s return and a wide range of trims and powertrains. If you’re more focused on getting the newest tech for the money, the 2025 remains worth a look.

2026 RAM 1500:

• Pros: Multiple powertrain options, Premium interior materials in high-end models, Luxurious and off-road-ready models offered.
• Cons: Advanced safety features are not standard, No base two-door work truck.

2026 Ford F-150:
