New & Used 2026 RAM 1500 for Sale near Vermont

How much does the 2026 RAM 1500 cost?

Prices have softened 13.66% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 961 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 a good car?

Generally — the 2026 RAM 1500 earns 4.3/5 from owners and 8/10 from our experts. The expert rating reflects a truck that stands out for its broad configuration range, premium interior materials in higher trims, and the return of the Hemi V8 for buyers who want a familiar full-size pickup character. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

The trade-offs are that advanced safety features are not standard, and there is no base two-door work truck. That means you should pay close attention to trim and equipment if you want the latest driver aids or a more stripped-down commercial setup.

With 29.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 RAM 1500’s appeal is tied to its broad capability and familiar truck character, including the returning Hemi V8 and multiple powertrain choices. Its expert evaluation also points to strong performance and technology, which can help the truck feel well-rounded over time. The performance content also notes that the V8 goes about its business smoothly, even if it is not the most powerful engine in the lineup.

If you plan to keep one used, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing a configuration that does not match your needs, especially if you want advanced safety equipment or maximum value.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 RAM 1500?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Lower trims like Tradesman, Express and Warlock use blacked-out grilles and the Tradesman’s cabin is pretty basic with cloth seats and lots of plastic trim, while Big Horn and Laramie add more style and the higher trims bring more upscale materials.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 3.6-litre V6 with eTorque, a 3.0-litre Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six, a high-output Hurricane inline-six in select versions, or the returning 5.7-litre Hemi V8 with eTorque. The turbocharged six is the stronger and more efficient choice, while the Hemi is about character.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with trailer coverage, and rear cross traffic alert. Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Warning and traffic sign recognition are standard on the Tungsten grade and can be added to some other models via option packages.
• Infotainment: Ram’s Uconnect 5 system includes standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Screen setups vary, with a 3.5-inch unit on base Tradesman models and larger 7-inch or 12-inch driver displays on most others. A 10.25-inch passenger screen is optional on mid- and upper-grade models, and wireless charging is available.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged inline-six delivers superior fuel economy than the Hemi V8, by 1.6 litres per 100 kilometres.

Which 2026 RAM 1500 trim should I buy?

The 2026 RAM 1500 is offered in 12 trim levels: Tradesman, Express, Warlock, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, RHO, Limited, Longhorn, Tungsten, and the two additional trims referenced in the model’s Canadian lineup.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the most basic choice, with cloth seats, lots of plastic trim, a small 3.5-inch driver display, and a six-speaker audio system. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry point and can live without upscale features.
• Big Horn: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more style than Tradesman, including etched trim, while staying in the heart of the lineup. It also pairs well with the nine-speaker audio setup seen on the test truck.
• Laramie: This trim steps up to leather and a smarter cabin presentation, and it can be had with a Harman Kardon 19-speaker audio package. It suits you if you want a more premium feel without going all the way to the top.
• Limited: This trim brings open-pore wood trim and standard Harman Kardon audio, making it a strong pick if you want a luxury-leaning truck with a more upscale interior.
• Longhorn: Like Limited, it gets open-pore wood trim and standard premium audio, but with its own distinct upscale character. It is a good fit if you want a more traditional luxury-truck look.
• Tungsten: This is the top-end choice, with high-end leather surfaces, a unique grille mesh pattern, standard premium safety features, and the 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system. It is the one to buy if you want the most luxurious and most fully equipped Ram 1500.

The safety package is strongest on Tungsten, where Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Warning and traffic sign recognition are standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 RAM 1500?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on strong examples.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 961 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.66% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $74,760 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $74,760 CAD sits slightly below last year's $86,590 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices continue to normalise. A truck with a broad trim range and strong feature content can still hold attention, especially when buyers see value in the configuration they want. The Hemi’s return may also help sustain interest among shoppers who specifically want a V8-powered full-size pickup.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 safe?

The 2026 Ram 1500 Quad Cab earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, while the Crew Cab loses a star, though its frontal, side and rollover scores all match the smaller-cab truck’s ratings.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with trailer coverage, and rear cross traffic alert. Ram’s hands-free Active Driving Assist is included with the Advanced Safety Group II package, but it requires the driver to stay alert and only works on certain roads. Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Warning and traffic sign recognition are standard on the Tungsten grade and can be added to some other models via option packages.

Should I buy a 2026 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The Hemi V8 returns for 2026, giving you a familiar and characterful engine choice.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $62,782 CAD, the 2025 costs less than the current year's $74,760 CAD average.
• It blends premium feel with everyday usefulness.

The bottom line: Choose the 2026 if you want the returning V8 and a wider current-market selection. If you are price-sensitive, the 2025 remains the smarter value play because it costs less and still brings a premium-feeling, well-equipped full-size truck package.
