New & Used 2026 RAM 1500 for Sale nearSaint-Lazare, QC

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 a good car?

Generally — you rate it 4/5, and our experts give it 8.00/10. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

The 2026 RAM 1500 stands out because Ram has brought the Hemi V8 back for the 2026 model year, giving you a characterful engine choice that many pickup shoppers still want. It also offers a broad range of configurations, with 12 trim levels in Canada, two cab sizes, bed lengths, and four powertrain choices, plus premium interior materials in high-end models and luxurious and off-road-ready versions.

The trade-offs are that the Hemi is not the strongest engine in the lineup, and advanced safety features are not standard. It also lacks a base two-door work truck, which narrows the most stripped-down buyer path.

If you want a full-size pickup with lots of choice and a distinctive V8 option, this is a compelling truck. The market shows 31.9% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 RAM 1500 is presented as a truck with broad appeal, and the expert data points to a well-rounded package rather than a fragile one-off. Its performance notes describe the Hemi V8 as smooth in operation, and the truck’s overall setup includes multiple powertrain choices, which can help you match the vehicle to your needs instead of overworking a single configuration.

Ram also highlights useful ownership-friendly equipment, including the eTorque mild hybrid system on the V6 and Hemi, which adds a mild bump in fuel efficiency. That kind of engineering can support everyday usability over the long run.

For used buyers, the main ownership risk is choosing a configuration that does not fit your workload or budget, especially if you want the V8 without needing its extra cost.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 RAM 1500?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Tradesman models are basic, with cloth seats and lots of plastic trim, while Big Horn adds more visual interest, Laramie brings leather, Limited and Longhorn add open-pore wood trim, and Tungsten gets high-end leather surfaces. The lower-end trims also wear blacked-out grilles, while higher trims move to chrome or more distinctive fascia treatments.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 3.6-litre V6 with eTorque, a 5.7-litre Hemi V8 with eTorque, a standard-output 3.0-litre Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six, or a high-output Hurricane inline-six in select versions. The Hemi brings 395 hp and 410 lb-ft, while the standard Hurricane makes 420 hp and 469 lb-ft, and the high-output version makes 540 hp and 521 lb-ft.
• Safety package: Lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with trailer coverage, and rear cross traffic alert come standard. Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Warning and traffic sign recognition are standard on the Tungsten grade and can be added to some other models via option packages.
• Infotainment: Ram’s Uconnect 5 system includes standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Screen setups vary by trim, with most trucks getting either a 7-inch or 12-inch digital display, while base Tradesman models use a smaller 3.5-inch unit. A 10.25-inch passenger screen is optional on mid- and upper-grade models, and OTA capability is not stated.
• Fuel efficiency: The standard-output Hurricane delivers superior fuel economy by 1.6 litres per 100 kilometres compared with the Hemi V8. The Hemi also uses the eTorque system for a mild bump in fuel efficiency.

Which 2026 RAM 1500 trim should I buy?

The 2026 RAM 1500 is offered in 12 trim levels: Tradesman, Express, Warlock, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, RHO, Limited, Longhorn, Tungsten, and the Hemi V8-equipped versions referenced in the pricing and powertrain details.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the entry point if you want the lowest starting price and a straightforward work-truck setup, but it is also the most basic inside, with cloth seats, lots of plastic trim, and the small 3.5-inch driver display.
• Big Horn: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds more style and equipment without jumping into luxury pricing, and it is the trim used for the pricing and fuel-economy comparison in the expert data.
• Laramie: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel, since it adds leather and a smart-looking two-tone interior option, plus access to the Harman Kardon audio package.
• Rebel: Pick this if you want one of the off-road-ready models and are willing to pay for a more specialised version of the truck.
• RHO: This is another off-road-oriented choice, positioned alongside Rebel in the model lineup.
• Limited: Go here if you want premium materials and a more luxurious cabin, including open-pore wood trim and standard Harman Kardon audio.
• Longhorn: This is for buyers who want a similarly upscale cabin with a more traditional luxury-truck presentation, including open-pore wood trim.
• Tungsten: This is the top-end pick if you want the most luxurious interior, the 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system, and the most advanced standard safety content.

Advanced safety features are not standard across the lineup, so check equipment carefully if driver aids matter to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 RAM 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 946 listings available.

That combination suggests you have enough supply to compare trims and powertrains without feeling rushed, but the best-priced trucks may still go quickly.

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 safe?

The 2026 RAM 1500 Quad Cab earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with trailer coverage, and rear cross traffic alert. Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Warning and traffic sign recognition are standard on the Tungsten grade and can be added to some other models via option packages.

Ram’s hands-free Active Driving Assist is included with the Advanced Safety Group II package. It requires the driver to stay alert, monitors attentiveness, and only works on certain roads. The system may require a paid subscription after a trial period on certain trims, so you should confirm that before you buy.

Should I buy a 2026 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• Choose the 2026 if: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

• Choose the 2026 if: Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

• Choose the 2026 if: The Hemi V8 is back, giving you a characterful engine choice that many pickup shoppers still want.

• Consider the 2025 if: It added a new super-luxe trim, lots of new technology, and new powertrain options.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive version of the Ram 1500 story, the 2026 model is the one to target because of the Hemi’s return and the wide range of configurations. If you are more price-sensitive and want a truck that already brought in major tech and powertrain updates, the 2025 remains a sensible alternative to compare closely.
