New & Used 2026 RAM 1500 for Sale near Lac-Etchemin, QC

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 a good car?

Generally — the 2026 RAM 1500 earns 4/5 from users and 8.00/10 from our experts. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

The 2026 RAM 1500 stands out because Ram brought the Hemi V8 back for this model year, giving you a characterful engine choice alongside the less-expensive Hurricane turbocharged inline-six and the optional High Output Hurricane engine. That broad powertrain range, plus the availability of premium interior materials in high-end models and both luxurious and off-road-ready versions, means you can tailor the truck to very different needs.

The trade-offs are worth noting: advanced safety features are not standard, and there is no base two-door work truck.

With 31.9% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 RAM 1500’s appeal is built around a familiar formula: a broad range of configurations, a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic, and standard 4WD across the Canadian lineup. The reborn Hemi V8 also adds a traditional truck character that many buyers still want, while the truck’s overall setup is aimed at everyday usability as much as capability.

Ram’s hands-free Active Driving Assist can add convenience on certain roads, but it is part of an extra package and may require a paid subscription after a trial period on some trims.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is choosing a truck without the equipment you want, especially if you expect advanced driver assistance or a more premium cabin.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 RAM 1500?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Tradesman, Express and Warlock models sit at the lower end of the pricing spectrum with blacked-out grilles and a more basic Tradesman cabin with cloth seats and lots of plastic trim. Big Horn and Laramie bring brighter chrome grilles, while Limited, Longhorn and Tungsten move further upmarket with more distinctive exterior treatment and richer interior materials.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 3.6-litre V6 with eTorque, a 5.7-litre Hemi V8 with eTorque, a standard-output 3.0-litre Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six, or a High Output Hurricane inline-six. The turbocharged six makes more power than the Hemi and delivers superior fuel economy.
• Safety package: Lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with trailer coverage, and rear cross traffic alert come standard. Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Warning and traffic sign recognition are standard on Tungsten and can be added to some other models via option packages.
• Infotainment: Uconnect 5 is standard, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Screen setups vary by trim, and base Tradesman models use a small 3.5-inch driver display. A 10.25-inch passenger screen is optional on mid- and upper-grade models, and wireless charging for two devices is available.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged inline-six delivers superior fuel economy by 1.6 litres per 100 kilometres compared with the Hemi V8.

Which 2026 RAM 1500 trim should I buy?

The 2026 RAM 1500 is offered in 12 trim levels: Tradesman, Express, Warlock, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, RHO, Limited, Longhorn, Tungsten, and the Hemi V8-equipped versions referenced in the pricing and powertrain details.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the entry point if you want the lowest starting price and a straightforward work-focused truck. It comes with the base V6, a six-speaker audio system, and the smaller 3.5-inch driver display, so it makes the most sense if you care more about utility than luxury.
• Big Horn: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds more style and equipment without jumping into the premium price brackets. It also shows how the Ram can be configured with more visual polish and a stronger feature set while staying in the heart of the lineup.
• Laramie: Choose this if you want a clear step up in cabin quality, including leather and a more upscale look. It also opens the door to more premium audio and other comfort-focused equipment.
• Rebel: This is the trim to consider if you want one of the off-road-ready versions mentioned in the truck’s lineup. It sits in the more adventurous part of the range and can be paired with stronger audio and other available equipment.
• RHO: This is another off-road-oriented choice, and it belongs on your shortlist if you want the truck’s more rugged character rather than a luxury focus.
• Limited: This is where the Ram starts leaning hard into premium materials, including open-pore wood trim and standard Harman Kardon audio. It suits you if comfort and cabin quality matter most.
• Longhorn: Pick this if you want a similarly upscale feel with a more distinctive luxury-truck personality. It shares the high-end interior treatment and is aimed at buyers who want a more refined full-size pickup.
• Tungsten: This is the top luxury pick, with high-end leather surfaces and the 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system. It also gets the most advanced standard safety content in the lineup.

The safety package is strongest on Tungsten, while some advanced driver-assistance features remain optional on other trims.

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 safe?

The 2026 RAM 1500 earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA for the Quad Cab, while the Crew Cab loses a star even though its frontal, side and rollover scores match the smaller-cab truck’s ratings.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with trailer coverage, and rear cross traffic alert. Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Warning and traffic sign recognition are standard on Tungsten and can be added to some other models via option packages.

Ram’s hands-free Active Driving Assist is included with the Advanced Safety Group II package. It is truly hands-free, but it still requires you to stay alert and may require a paid subscription after a trial period on certain trims.

Should I buy a 2026 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The Hemi V8 returns for 2026, giving you a characterful engine choice that many pickup buyers still want.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It brings a major update with new technology and more powertrain choice.

The bottom line: If you want the Hemi’s return and a wide range of trims and powertrains, the 2026 is the better fit. If you are shopping mainly on value and want to compare against a recent redesign year, the 2025 is still worth a look for its updated tech and broader modern feel.
