New & Used 2026 RAM 1500 for Sale near Haileybury, ON

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 a good car?

Generally — you rate it 4.33/5, and the expert rating is 8.00/10. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

The 2026 RAM 1500 stands out because Ram has brought the Hemi V8 back for the 2026 model year, giving you a characterful engine choice that still matters in a full-size pickup. It also gives you broad configuration choice, with 12 trim levels in Canada, two cab sizes, bed lengths, and four powertrain choices.

The trade-offs are that the Hemi is not the quickest or most efficient engine in the lineup, and advanced safety features are not standard. Even so, if you want a pickup with premium interior materials in higher trims and a more distinctive personality than a basic work truck, this one fits that brief well.

29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 RAM 1500 is presented as a familiar, proven truck rather than a major mechanical rethink, and the return of the Hemi V8 suggests Ram is leaning on an established powertrain formula. The expert test-drive notes also point to a truck that delivers smooth operation, with the V8 described as doing its business smoothly.

That said, the truck’s long-term ownership picture still depends on how you equip it, especially if you want more advanced technology or higher-end features. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the truck’s core appeal and more about choosing the right trim and equipment level for your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 RAM 1500?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Lower-end Tradesman, Express and Warlock models use blacked-out grilles, while Big Horn and Laramie add bright chrome, and Limited, Longhorn and Tungsten move further upmarket with more distinctive exterior and interior finishes. The base Tradesman cabin is pretty basic with cloth seats and lots of plastic trim, so you should check whether you want a more polished interior before settling on the cheapest version.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.6-litre V6 with eTorque, a 5.7-litre Hemi V8 with eTorque, a standard-output 3.0-litre Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six, and a high-output Hurricane inline-six in select versions. The Hemi brings 395 hp and 410 lb-ft, but the standard Hurricane makes more power and torque, and it also delivers superior fuel economy.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with trailer coverage, and rear cross traffic alert. Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Warning and traffic sign recognition are standard on the Tungsten grade and can be added to some other models via option packages.
• Infotainment: Uconnect 5 is standard, along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Screen setups vary by trim, with base Tradesman models getting a small 3.5-inch driver display, while most trucks have either a 7-inch or 12-inch digital display; a 10.25-inch passenger screen and a full-colour head-up display are optional on some models.
• Fuel efficiency: The standard-output Hurricane inline-six delivers superior fuel economy, albeit by just 1.6 litres per 100 kilometres compared with the Hemi V8.

Which 2026 RAM 1500 trim should I buy?

The 2026 RAM 1500 is offered in 12 trim levels: Tradesman, Express, Warlock, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, RHO, Limited, Longhorn, Tungsten, and the other two trims explicitly identified in the model’s trim lineup.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the most basic choice, with cloth seats, lots of plastic trim, a six-speaker audio system, and the small 3.5-inch driver display. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry point, but it is the trim where the feature gaps are most obvious.
• Big Horn: This is the best-value pick for many shoppers because it adds more style than the Tradesman, including etched trim, and it sits in the heart of the lineup without jumping too far upmarket. If you want a more pleasant daily driver without chasing luxury pricing, this is the trim to focus on.
• Laramie: This is where the truck starts to feel notably upscale, with leather, a smart cabin presentation, and available Bison Brown/Sea Salt Grey two-tone colour. It also opens the door to more premium audio and tech options.
• Limited: This trim brings open-pore wood trim and a more luxurious cabin feel, making it a strong choice if you want the Ram 1500 to feel genuinely premium.
• Longhorn: Like the Limited, it leans into upscale materials and a more distinctive interior character, so it suits you if comfort and presentation matter as much as capability.
• Tungsten: This is the top-end luxury play, with high-end leather surfaces, a unique grille, standard advanced safety items such as Evasive Steer Assist, Intersection Collision Warning and traffic sign recognition, plus the 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system.

The safety package is not standard across the lineup, so if advanced driver aids matter to you, pay close attention to trim and option content.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 RAM 1500?

• Inventory: There are 966 listings available.

Is the 2026 RAM 1500 safe?

The 2026 RAM 1500 earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA for the Quad Cab, while the Crew Cab loses a star even though its frontal, side and rollover scores match the smaller cab’s ratings.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes lane keep assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with trailer coverage, and rear cross traffic alert. Ram’s hands-free Active Driving Assist is included with the Advanced Safety Group II package, but it requires the driver to stay alert, works only on certain roads, and may require a paid subscription after a trial period on certain trims.

A key caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, so you need to check equipment carefully if driver assistance matters to you.

Should I buy a 2026 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• Choose the 2026 if: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals. Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal. The Hemi V8 is back for 2026, giving you a characterful engine choice that many pickup shoppers still want.
• Consider the 2025 if: It brought a substantial update with more technology and new powertrain options.
• The bottom line: If you want the Hemi’s return and a wide range of trims and configurations, the 2026 is the more distinctive pick. If you are shopping mainly on value and want to compare equipment carefully, the 2025 remains worth a look because it introduced major updates that still matter.
