How much does the 2026 Lexus NX cost?

Prices have softened 4.36% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 227 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX a good car?

The 2026 Lexus NX earns an 7/10 expert rating, and it stands out as a value-conscious luxury crossover with strong efficiency credentials and a clear appeal if you want a premium package with multiple powertrain choices.

The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

Its hybrid versions are a particular strength, and the NX also brings standard advanced safety features to the table. The trade-offs are worth keeping in mind: the design may be polarising, the ride quality is poor, and cargo space trails some rivals.

With 28.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX reliable?

The 2026 Lexus NX is presented as a reassuring Lexus product with a strong reputation for dependability, and the overview also points to the brand’s familiar luxury formula and broad powertrain choice as part of its appeal.

Its efficiency-focused hybrid models add to the sense that the NX is engineered for everyday use, while the expert review notes that Lexus has made the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions more affordable for 2026. The performance commentary also suggests the NX’s powertrains are varied, though the standard turbocharged setup is not especially impressive.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the NX’s premium positioning may not fully translate into the refinement you expect if you plan to keep it for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus NX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The NX lineup includes base, Luxury, F Sport 2, Ultra Luxury, Executive and F Sport 3 packages across the non-hybrid, hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions. The base NX 350 does not quite live up to the luxury expectation, while the Executive package adds leather upholstery and the higher-end F Sport packages bring adaptive dampers, black 20-inch wheels, a different front fascia, black roof rails and black window framing.
• Powertrain: The NX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque, while the NX 350h hybrid uses a naturally aspirated 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 240 hp and the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid makes 304 hp. The hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions are the more compelling choices if efficiency matters to you.
• Safety package: Standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, adaptive cruise control, lane centring assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist and traffic sign recognition. Safe Exit Assist is also standard, while park assist, front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist and a 360-degree camera system are available.
• Infotainment: A 9.8-inch touchscreen is standard on the base NX, while a 14-inch display is standard with any package. Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and six USB ports are standard, and wireless device charging is also included with any package.
• Fuel efficiency: The non-hybrid NX 350 is rated at 9.8 L/100 km combined, while the NX 350h is rated at 6.0 L/100 km combined and the NX 450h+ is rated at 6.6 L/100 km combined in hybrid mode. The NX 350h is the efficiency standout if you want the best balance of running costs and premium features.

The 2026 Lexus NX is offered in 6 trim levels: base, Luxury, F Sport 2, Ultra Luxury, Executive and F Sport 3.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, but the review suggests it does not feel as upscale as you might expect from a Lexus. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting point and plan to prioritise the NX’s core strengths over luxury extras.
• Luxury: This is the first step up if you want a more polished feel without jumping straight to the sportier or top-end packages. It should suit you if you want a better-equipped NX without chasing the most expensive trims.
• F Sport 2: Choose this if you want the sportier appearance and chassis tuning cues, including adaptive dampers and the blacked-out exterior details. It is best if style matters more to you than ride comfort.
• Ultra Luxury: This trim is aimed at buyers who want the most upscale presentation in the lineup. It makes the most sense if you want the NX to feel as premium as possible.
• Executive: This is the best-value choice if you want a more convincing luxury experience, because it adds leather upholstery and sits closer to the premium end of the range without necessarily going all the way to the top.
• F Sport 3: This is the most aggressive-looking version, with the same F Sport hardware and the most complete sport appearance package. It suits you if you want the fullest F Sport treatment, but the review’s ride-quality concerns are worth weighing carefully.

The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite is included across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 227 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.36% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $59,802 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $59,802 CAD sits slightly below last year's $62,527 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the NX is currently more accessible for used buyers than it was a year ago. If you buy now and keep the vehicle in good condition, you may benefit from a more favourable entry price than a previous owner did.

For a future seller, the current trend points to a market that has eased, so resale strength will depend more on trim choice, condition and mileage than on broad price momentum. The hybrid models should remain the easier ones to position if you eventually decide to sell.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX safe?

The 2026 Lexus NX earns a Top Safety Pick from the IIHS, and it received top Good scores in all other crash tests and evaluations except for an Acceptable result in the updated moderate overlap front crash test.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, adaptive cruise control, lane centring assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist and traffic sign recognition. Safe Exit Assist is also standard, and available features include park assist, front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist and a 360-degree camera system.

The main caveat is that the NX missed the highest IIHS award because of that lower moderate-overlap result, so safety is strong overall but not flawless.

Should I buy a 2026 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.36% compared with last year.
• The 2026 model’s updates make the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions more affordable, and the expert verdict says the NX offers good value in hybrid form.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest value in the NX lineup and are focused on the hybrid models, the 2026 is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still be worth comparing, but the 2026’s softer pricing and improved hybrid positioning make it the cleaner buy for many shoppers.
