New & Used 2026 Kia Sportage for Sale near Port Saunders, NL

How much does the 2026 Kia Sportage cost?

Prices have softened 4.12% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 341 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Kia Sportage a good car?

The 2026 Kia Sportage earns an expert rating of 7.3/10. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

It fits well if you want a compact crossover that feels modern, with revised styling, impressive technology, and strong safety credentials. The trade-offs are that its performance is fairly pedestrian, and the transmission could react more quickly. The X-Pro’s underwhelming value proposition is another consideration if you are shopping for more rugged-looking variants.

With 38.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market offers a decent number of attractive opportunities.

Is the 2026 Kia Sportage reliable?

The 2026 Kia Sportage is presented as a competent, well-rounded compact crossover with a strong warranty and a long-running nameplate that has matured into a serious contender. Its non-hybrid 2.5-litre four-cylinder is described as doing just fine, and the overall execution is framed as solid rather than flashy.

Kia’s 5-year/100,000-kilometre limited warranty, including the powertrain, is a useful ownership backstop for used buyers. The Sportage also pairs its mainstream mechanical setup with a strong safety profile and a broad set of driver-assistance features.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about outright weakness and more about choosing the right trim and powertrain for your needs, since the base gas model is the least powerful and the screen-heavy controls may not suit everyone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Kia Sportage?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The X-Line models add off-road appearance packages with different front and rear bumpers, tread-like stitching for the SynTex artificial leather upholstery, and all-season tires on 19-inch wheels. The EX Premium trim also has 19-inch wheels, while other trims come with 17-inch or 18-inch wheels.
• Powertrain: The gas model uses a naturally aspirated 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 187 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions use a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with an electric motor, and they are more refined.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assist features include adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and lane following assist. Higher trim levels also feature Highway Driving Assist, which adds automated lane centring. Front and rear parking sensors are available, along with a surround-view camera system and blind-spot view monitor.
• Infotainment: A 12.3-inch touchscreen is standard, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard. Wireless phone charging is standard on all but the base LX trim level. The X-Line Limited adds a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a Harman Kardon premium audio system, a head-up display, and digital key functionality.
• Fuel efficiency: The non-hybrid Sportage is rated at 8.3 litres per 100 kilometres combined with FWD and 8.9 L/100 km combined with AWD. The Sportage Hybrid is rated at 6.7 L/100 km combined, and the plug-in hybrid gets up to 53 kilometres of all-electric driving.

Which 2026 Kia Sportage trim should I buy?

The 2026 Kia Sportage is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, LX AWD, X-Line, EX, EX Premium, and X-Line Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest-priced way into the Sportage lineup. It gets the standard tech and safety equipment, but you give up wireless phone charging.
• LX AWD: Choose this if you want all-wheel drive without moving too far up the price ladder. It keeps the core Sportage formula intact while adding traction for Canadian conditions.
• X-Line: This is the better-value choice if you want the more rugged look and the X-Line appearance package details without jumping to the top of the range.
• EX: This is the trim to target if you want a more balanced mix of equipment and value. It sits in the middle of the lineup and should suit most shoppers well.
• EX Premium: This is the trim to consider if you want the 19-inch wheels and a more upscale feel without going all the way to the top trim.
• X-Line Limited: This is the most feature-rich version, with the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Harman Kardon audio, head-up display, and digital key functionality.

Higher trim levels also add Highway Driving Assist, and the available surround-view camera system and blind-spot view monitor are worth seeking out if you want the most complete safety and convenience package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Kia Sportage?

The current market looks moderate, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 341 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.12% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $36,850 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $36,850 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,435 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sportage has softened enough to create better buying conditions today than it did a year ago. For a future seller, that also means resale value may be more sensitive to trim, condition, and equipment than to the model name alone.

If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. The strongest resale prospects will likely come from well-equipped trims with the features shoppers actually want.

Is the 2026 Kia Sportage safe?

The 2026 Kia Sportage received the highest Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and earns five-star ratings in frontal and side crash testing, and four-star ratings for rollover crash performance from NHTSA.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and lane following assist. The Sportage also warns you if it detects driver fatigue, reminds you to check the back seats before leaving the vehicle, and watches for oncoming cars or cyclists as you open the door.

Higher trim levels also feature Highway Driving Assist, which adds automated lane centring. Front and rear parking sensors are available, along with a surround-view camera system and blind-spot view monitor.

Should I buy a 2026 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.12% compared with last year.
• The refreshed styling and strong safety profile matter to you.

The bottom line: The 2026 Sportage is the right pick if you want the refreshed look, strong safety, and a market that is leaning in your favour. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2026 gives you a compelling mix of value and updated appeal.
