New & Used 2026 Kia Sportage for Sale nearKamloops, BC

How much does the 2026 Kia Sportage cost?

Prices have softened 3.16% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 324 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Kia Sportage a good car?

The 2026 Kia Sportage earns a 7.3/10 expert rating, and its strongest appeal lies in its stylish design, impressive technology, and great safety ratings. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

It is a competent compact crossover that feels modern and well rounded, especially if you value a polished look and useful technology in a mainstream SUV. The trade-offs are that its performance is fairly pedestrian, and the screen-heavy interface can be less intuitive than simpler controls.

With 35.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you a decent chance to find a strong-value example.

Is the 2026 Kia Sportage reliable?

The 2026 Kia Sportage is presented as a well-rounded mainstream crossover with a strong safety profile and a long-running nameplate that has evolved into a serious contender in the segment. Its expert assessment also points to competent execution rather than flashy complexity, which is generally a reassuring sign for used buyers.

The non-hybrid powertrain is described as doing just fine, and the model’s strong warranty coverage adds another layer of confidence for ownership. Kia also positions the Sportage with a 5-year/100,00-kilometre limited warranty, including the powertrain.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright weakness and more about choosing the right trim and powertrain for your needs, since the base gas setup is the least refined option in the lineup.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Kia Sportage?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The X-Line models add off-road appearance touches, while the EX Premium trim gets 19-inch wheels and the X-Line Limited adds a more upscale cabin presentation. The base LX is the most stripped-back version, so you should check whether it has the equipment you want before you buy.
• Powertrain: The gas model uses a naturally aspirated 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic. Hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions use a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with an electric motor, and they are more refined.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assist features include adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and lane following assist. Higher trims also feature Highway Driving Assist with automated lane centring, while front and rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and the blind-spot view monitor are available.
• Infotainment: A 12.3-inch touchscreen is standard, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard too. Wireless phone charging is standard on all but the base LX trim level, while the X-Line Limited adds a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a Harman Kardon premium audio system, a head-up display, and digital key functionality.
• Fuel efficiency: The non-hybrid Sportage is rated at 8.3 litres per 100 kilometres combined with FWD and 8.9 L/100 km combined with AWD. The Sportage Hybrid is rated at 6.7 L/100 km combined, and the plug-in hybrid gets up to 53 kilometres of all-electric driving.

Which 2026 Kia Sportage trim should I buy?

The 2026 Kia Sportage is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, LX AWD, X-Line, EX, EX Premium, and X-Line Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point if you want the lowest-priced gas Sportage, but you should expect the fewest extras. It makes sense if you mainly want the Sportage’s design, safety, and standard tech without paying for higher-trim convenience features.
• LX AWD: This is the better pick if you want all-wheel drive without moving too far up the price ladder. It keeps the core value proposition intact while adding traction for Canadian conditions.
• X-Line: This is the trim to consider if you want the more rugged look and the off-road appearance package treatment. It adds visual distinction, but the content suggests its value is more about style than capability.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it sits in the middle of the range and should give you a more balanced mix of equipment and price. If you want a sensible upgrade path, this is the one to focus on first.
• EX Premium: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel, including 19-inch wheels, without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• X-Line Limited: This is the most feature-rich version, with the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Harman Kardon audio, head-up display, and digital key functionality. It suits you best if you want the most tech-forward Sportage.

Higher trim levels also feature the Highway Driving Assist system, and the surround-view camera system and blind-spot view monitor are available.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Kia Sportage?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what trim and price you want.

• Deal availability: 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 324 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.16% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $36,994 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $36,994 CAD sits slightly below last year's $38,200 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Sportage is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. If you plan to sell later, you should expect resale value to depend heavily on trim, condition, and how well the vehicle is equipped relative to similar listings.

The good news is that the Sportage still has strong safety credentials and broad appeal, which should help it remain competitive in the used market. The challenge is that today’s lower average price gives future buyers more room to negotiate unless your vehicle stands out on equipment and condition.

Is the 2026 Kia Sportage safe?

The 2026 Kia Sportage received the highest Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and it also received a five-star overall safety rating from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) with five stars in frontal and side crash testing and four stars for rollover crash performance.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assist features include adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and lane following assist. The Sportage will also warn you if it detects driver fatigue, remind you to check the back seats before leaving the vehicle, and watch for oncoming cars or cyclists as you open the door.

Higher trim levels also feature the Highway Driving Assist system, which adds automated lane centring. Also available are a surround-view camera system and the blind-spot view monitor, which shows a camera feed of the blind spot in the instrument cluster when a turn signal is activated.

Should I buy a 2026 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.16% compared with last year.
• The refreshed Sportage arrives with the competent execution we’ve come to expect from Kia.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest styling and a strong safety story, the 2026 Sportage is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering, especially if you can find similar equipment for less.
