New & Used 2026 Honda Odyssey for Sale nearOttawa, ON

Is the 2026 Honda Odyssey a good car?

The 2026 Honda Odyssey is a strong fit if you want a family minivan that prioritises comfort, practicality, and easygoing driving manners. It keeps a familiar formula with a front-wheel-drive layout, a 3.5-litre V6, and seating for seven, while adding family-friendly features such as CabinTalk, CabinWatch, sliding second-row seats, and plenty of cupholders and storage. For buyers who want a minivan that feels more car-like on the road than many rivals, that balance of lightness and usefulness is a major part of its appeal.

It is also well equipped for safety and convenience, with Honda Sensing, collision-mitigation braking, road-departure mitigation, blind-spot information, cross-traffic alert, a multi-angle rearview camera, and adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow. In Canada, it also includes heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a moonroof, a power tailgate, leather seating, a rear-seat entertainment system, and Magic Slide second-row seats. Higher trims can add ventilated front seats, a hands-free power tailgate, an 11-speaker audio system, leather piping, wireless phone charging, and CabinWatch.

The trade-offs are that it does not offer all-wheel drive or a hybrid version, and some competitors provide more storage versatility. Even so, it remains a strong choice for families who want a roomy, well-equipped minivan with a long-standing reputation for durability. 24.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a useful signal on market value.

Is the 2026 Honda Odyssey reliable?

The 2026 Honda Odyssey is presented as a minivan with a long-standing reputation for durability, which supports its appeal for families planning to keep it for the long haul. It also benefits from a familiar mechanical layout and a focus on everyday usability rather than complexity.

That said, the buying guide notes that early years of this generation have drawn complaints for electrical glitches, infotainment issues, and transmission issues, so you should pay close attention to service records and how the vehicle behaves on a test drive. For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is manageable, but only if you verify maintenance history carefully.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It adds useful tech updates while staying comfortable and practical.

The bottom line: The 2026 is the better pick if you want the latest version of this familiar minivan and you find a well-priced example. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2025 is worth a look because it keeps the core strengths and may cost less.
