New & Used 2026 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale near Lillooet, BC

How much does the 2026 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 8.12% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 150 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

The Traverse earns a 7.33/10 expert rating.

The model scores 9/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out as a three-row crossover SUV that can substitute for both minivans and full-size body-on-frame SUVs, so you get broad family-vehicle appeal without moving to a truck-based SUV. It also brings a pleasant ride and lots of safety equipment, which are major strengths for a vehicle this size.

The trade-offs are clear: it can’t tow as much as larger body-on-frame SUVs, it has similar space to a minivan but is less accessible, and the engine is described as gruff with mediocre power.

With 34.0% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

The Traverse is presented as a well-equipped family SUV with a strong safety focus and a generally good ride, but it also has some notable compromises in refinement. Its standard all-wheel drive, broad safety equipment, and composed road manners point to a vehicle built for everyday family use.

The powertrain is described as adequate rather than impressive, and the engine noise is a clear drawback. Chevrolet’s standard active noise cancellation is included, but it does not seem especially effective.

The available driver-assistance technology is a major strength, especially Super Cruise, which can handle the controls on mapped highways across North America. Even so, you still need to stay attentive and take over when conditions overwhelm the system.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Traverse’s size, engine character, and complexity may make it less satisfying over time than its safety and space suggest.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Chevrolet Traverse?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT is well equipped with cloth upholstery, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, tri-zone automatic climate control, and a hands-free power liftgate. The RS adds a six-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, a power tilt/telescoping steering column, driver’s seat memory, leather upholstery, and heated outboard second-row seats. The Z71 stands out with red front tow hooks and knobby all-terrain tires.
• Powertrain: Every Traverse uses a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard AWD. The engine is adequate, but acceleration is not quick and the engine note is not pleasant.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection and intersection assist, front and rear automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, high beam assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring with steering assist, side bicycle alert, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, rear parking sensors, and GM’s Safety Alert Seat. The Enhanced Driving package adds Super Cruise, automatic parking, a driver attention monitor, and the Bose audio system, while the Driver Confidence package adds a surround-view camera system, rear pedestrian alert, traffic sign recognition, and a rear camera mirror.
• Infotainment: You get a 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen with Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, Google Maps, a wireless phone charger, and remote start. The system is quick and intuitive, with large icons and easy-to-reach controls.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 12.1 L/100 km in the city, 9.9 on the highway, and 11.1 combined. In mixed driving, it averaged 11.8 L/100 km.

Which 2026 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2026 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, Z71, RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the best-value choice if you want the Traverse’s core strengths without stretching the budget. It already gives you the roomy cabin, strong tech, and broad safety equipment that make the SUV appealing.
• Z71: Choose this if you want the most rugged-looking Traverse and value the red tow hooks and all-terrain tyres. It also adds moderate off-road ability, but it is not the trim to buy if your priority is maximum value.
• RS: Pick this if you want the most upscale-feeling Traverse, with leather upholstery, driver’s seat memory, a power tilt/telescoping steering column, and heated outboard second-row seats.

The standard safety package is already extensive, and the available driver-assistance packages add even more capability if you want them.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 150 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.12% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $56,609 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $56,609 CAD sits slightly below last year's $61,613 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Traverse has softened enough to create better buying conditions now than a year ago. If you buy at today’s average, you are starting from a lower entry point than last year’s market.

For a future seller, that means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment than to broad market momentum alone. Well-kept examples with desirable features should hold up better than plain or heavily used ones.

Is the 2026 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The Traverse earns a Top Safety Pick from the IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection and intersection assist, front and rear automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, high beam assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring with steering assist, side bicycle alert, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, rear parking sensors, and GM’s Safety Alert Seat.

The available Enhanced Driving package adds Super Cruise, automatic parking, and a driver attention monitor, while the Driver Confidence package adds a surround-view camera system, rear pedestrian alert, traffic sign recognition, and a rear camera mirror.

The main caveat is that the Traverse missed Top Safety Pick+ because of its Acceptable rating in the updated moderate front overlap crash test.

Should I buy a 2026 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.12% compared with last year.
• It adds strong safety equipment and a broad family-vehicle mission.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $52,768 CAD, the 2025 costs less than the current year's $56,609 CAD average.
• It offers stylish design, plenty of cargo space, and impressive technology.

The bottom line: Choose the 2026 if you want the newer market position and strong safety equipment, especially if you find a well-priced example. If your priority is saving money, the 2025 is the better value path and still delivers the Traverse’s core family-friendly strengths.
