New & Used 2026 Audi Q5 for Sale near New Mexico

Is the 2026 Audi Q5 a good car?

The 2026 Audi Q5 earns 6.7/10 from our experts. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Technology, and Safety.

It stands out as a luxury compact SUV that prioritises refinement, practicality, and standard all-wheel drive over rugged ambition. You get a premium-feeling cabin, a spacious interior, and a large trunk, plus strong standard equipment even in base form.

The trade-offs are clear: the interior materials are criticised as cheap in places, and the Q5 is not as fun to drive as some rivals. It is also priced like a premium product, so value is not its strongest suit.

With 32.1% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Audi Q5 reliable?

The 2026 Audi Q5 is presented as a polished, well-rounded luxury SUV with standard quattro all-wheel drive and a muted, low-vibration turbocharged engine. Its ride is described as comfortable and stable, and the cabin is built around everyday usability and strong standard equipment.

Audi’s performance notes point to a drivetrain that should feel smooth and composed in normal use, while the cost-effectiveness commentary suggests the Q5’s technology, space, and performance are not dramatically ahead of less expensive alternatives. That means the long-term ownership risk for used buyers is less about outright mechanical drama and more about paying premium money for a vehicle whose value proposition is not especially strong.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Audi Q5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim lacks the passenger display and the blank lower dashboard area makes the cabin feel less complete than higher trims.
• Powertrain: Every Q5 uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four with 268 horsepower, 295 pound-feet of torque, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and standard quattro all-wheel drive; the transmission can feel delayed from a stop and a bit lurchy at parking-lot speeds.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, forward cross-traffic alert and braking, evasive steering assist, a centre frontal airbag, and rear side airbags.
• Infotainment: You get a 14.5-inch touchscreen and an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Google built-in apps; Technik trims add a 10.9-inch passenger display.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada-rated fuel economy is 11.0 L/100 km in the city, 8.1 L/100 km on the highway, and 9.7 L/100 km combined.

Which 2026 Audi Q5 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Audi Q5 is offered in 3 trim levels: base, Progressiv, Technik.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, but it misses the passenger display and leaves the lower dashboard area blank, so it feels less complete than the higher trims.
• Progressiv: This is the best-value trim if you want the core Q5 experience with the stronger equipment mix without stretching to the top price.
• Technik: This is the most fully featured version, adding the 10.9-inch passenger display and the most upscale tech presentation.

The standard safety package is strong across the range, with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, forward cross-traffic alert and braking, evasive steering assist, a centre frontal airbag, and rear side airbags.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Audi makes a centre frontal airbag and rear side airbags standard, along with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, forward cross-traffic alert and braking, and evasive steering assist. Those standard features give the Q5 a strong safety foundation across the lineup.

Should I buy a 2026 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• It combines polished road manners, strong standard equipment, and a genuinely upscale interior in a practical package.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It introduced Audi’s current design language and tech suite.

The bottom line: If you want the latest Q5 with strong standard equipment and a refined driving character, the 2026 is the cleaner choice. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2025 is worth a look because it brought the redesign and may offer a lower entry point.
