How much does the 2025 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 15.04% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 340 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Generally — you’re looking at a 4/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating, which points to a truck that lands above average overall. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The 2025 Toyota Tundra is aimed at buyers who want a full-size pickup with a tech-forward cabin and a strong capability story. The interior is a highlight thanks to its modern layout and available hybrid powertrain, and the truck also brings useful everyday practicality with plenty of storage space and a spacious back seat.

The trade-offs are clear: fuel economy is poor, the seats are uncomfortable, and it lacks front recovery hooks. It also falls short of some rivals on maximum towing, so if your priorities are maximum work-truck capability, you should compare carefully.

With 34.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Toyota’s own overview and expert assessment both point to a truck that leans on a strong reputation for durability, while also benefiting from a third-generation platform that has matured into its third model year. The expert review also notes that Toyota has fixed the engine issue that affected 2022 to 2024 models, which is reassuring if you’re shopping used.

The performance notes also say the predictive reliability for this truck in general and the powertrain specifically is on an upward trend. If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure you’re getting a truck from a model year and history that avoids earlier engine-related concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Tundra?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The TRD Rally Package adds distinctive styling, 18-inch TRD off-road wheels, all-terrain tires, Bilstein shocks, skid plates, and extra interior features such as a 14-inch touchscreen and dual-zone automatic climate control. The base SR trim uses more plastic in the cabin, but that can be more durable for truck use.
• Powertrain: You get a twin-turbo 3.4-litre V6 i-Force engine, with rear-wheel drive standard and four-wheel drive available. The truck no longer offers a V8, and the available hybrid powertrain is more powerful than the standard engine.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard on all trim levels and includes pre-collision system with forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, automated lane centring, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available with packages and on higher trims.
• Infotainment: The standard setup is an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The TRD Rally Package upgrades to a 14-inch screen, and connected features can depend on subscriptions.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada-estimated fuel consumption is 11.7 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving.

Which 2025 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Tundra is offered in 1 trim level: SR.

Here's the short version:

The SR is the trim to focus on if you want the Tundra’s core strengths without paying for extra tech and appearance upgrades. It still gives you wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, and the standard V6 powertrain, so it covers the essentials well. If you want the most value, this is the one to start with.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard on all trim levels, while blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available with packages and on higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Tundra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 340 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.04% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $59,857 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $59,920 CAD sits slightly below last year's $70,528 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the softer pricing means you may need to be more competitive on condition, mileage, and equipment to stand out.

The good news is that trucks with strong safety credentials and broad appeal tend to hold buyer interest better over time. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2025 Toyota Tundra crew cab is the only full-size truck to win a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, and it earns a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, with additional five-star ratings in frontal and side crash tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard on all trim levels and includes a pre-collision system with forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, automated lane centring, and automatic high beams. Eight airbags, LATCH on outboard second-row seats, child-protector rear door locks, tire pressure monitoring, and front active headrests are also standard.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available with packages and on higher trims. The main caveat is that some of those extra driver-assistance features are not standard across the lineup.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 adds new tech features, including an available massaging seat in upper trims and a retro TRD Rally Package.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $54,704 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $59,920 CAD average.
• It stands out for its powerful i-Force Max drivetrain.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the newer tech and updated appeal, especially if you value the TRD Rally Package or the latest cabin features. If price is your top priority, the 2024 is the better value play.
