How much does the 2025 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 22.25% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,778 listings available, which suggests healthy inventory for used shoppers.

Is the 2025 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Nissan Rogue earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating.

The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

It is a five-passenger compact SUV aimed at shoppers who want comfort, efficiency, and a polished feature set. The cabin is upscale, the ride is comfortable, and the Rogue’s value story is strengthened by its practical equipment and good fuel economy.

The trade-offs are modest acceleration and passing power, plus upper trims that are less of a value.

With 38.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Rogue is described as a well-rounded compact SUV that Nissan has continued to update and improve over time, and its smooth CVT helps the drivetrain feel refined in everyday driving. Its fuel-efficient, easy-going character also supports the impression of a vehicle built for low-stress ownership.

The 201-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder provides decent grunt for routine driving, and the CVT is described as smooth and nicely faded into the background. The Rogue also delivers a Natural Resources Canada-estimated 7.6 litres per 100 kilometres combined.

If you buy used, the main long-term ownership risk is that the modest powertrain may feel strained if you regularly want stronger acceleration.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Rogue?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base S includes standard all-wheel drive, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry, remote start, and dual-zone climate control, while the SV adds an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, two rear USB-C ports, a subscription-based Wi-Fi hot spot, adaptive cruise control, and a power liftgate. The Platinum adds semi-aniline leather seating surfaces, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, and 10-speaker Bose audio.
• Powertrain: You get a 201-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-litre three-cylinder with a continuously variable automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive in Canada. It is smooth and efficient, but acceleration is modest.
• Safety package: The Rogue includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection assist, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, a driver attention monitor, and automatic high-beam headlights. ProPilot Assist and ProPilot Assist 2.1 are available on higher trims or as options.
• Infotainment: Bottom four trims use an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Upper trims get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google built-in capability, and Amazon Alexa.
• Fuel efficiency: The Rogue delivers a Natural Resources Canada-estimated 7.6 litres per 100 kilometres combined.

Which 2025 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Rogue is offered in 6 trim levels: S, SV, Midnight Edition, SV Premium, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it still gives you standard all-wheel drive and a strong safety and comfort baseline. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Rogue.
• SV: This is the best-value trim. It adds the features many shoppers will actually notice every day, including the power driver’s seat, rear USB-C ports, Wi-Fi hot spot, adaptive cruise control, and power liftgate.
• Midnight Edition: Choose this if you want a more distinctive look without moving all the way up the range.
• SV Premium: This is the step-up choice if you want more convenience and tech than the SV without jumping to the top trims.
• SL: This trim brings the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity and Google built-in, making it a strong pick if tech matters most.
• Platinum: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with semi-aniline leather, heated rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, and Bose audio.

The safety package is broad across the range, and ProPilot Assist 2.1 is available on higher trims or as an option.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Rogue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,778 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.25% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,526 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $29,526 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,977 CAD.

That price drop suggests the Rogue is currently more buyer-friendly than seller-friendly, which can make it easier for future owners to compete on price when they resell. If you buy at the right number now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. The Rogue’s broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction should still help support demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2025 Rogue earns five-star ratings from NHTSA and Good marks from IIHS in all but one category, where it receives an Acceptable score for side impact testing.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, intersection assist, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, a driver attention monitor, and automatic high-beam headlights. ProPilot Assist and ProPilot Assist 2.1 are available on higher trims or as options, along with a surround-view parking camera system and traffic sign recognition.

The main caveat is the IIHS side impact result, which is not as strong as the Rogue’s otherwise excellent crash-test performance.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds the Rock Creek trim and newly available ProPilot Assist 2.1.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,104 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $29,526 CAD average.
• It brings refreshed styling and Google built-in apps.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the broader feature set, the Rock Creek addition, and the latest tech story. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the smarter value play, especially if you can find one with the tech and interior features you want.
