Is the 2025 Nissan Armada a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and an expert rating of 7.8/10, the 2025 Armada lands as a strong choice for you if you want a full-size SUV with a major redesign. The Armada’s new generation brings a broader trim range, standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a more upscale feel in higher trims, while the PRO-4X adds a more adventurous edge.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

The trade-offs are that it is still described as less spacious than some key competitors, and the hands-free driving system can be finicky. Even so, the expanded lineup gives you more ways to match the Armada to your needs, and 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Nissan Armada reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Armada is presented as a thoroughly updated full-size SUV with a new powertrain and a redesigned platform, which supports the impression of a fresh start for the model. Its expert rating of 7.8/10 also points to a well-rounded package, and the new-generation hardware should give you a more modern ownership experience than the previous version.

The performance content also highlights standard 4WD, a nine-speed automatic, and towing equipment that comes standard, which all point to a robust mechanical setup. If you plan to keep one used for the long haul, the main ownership risk is that a more complex new-generation SUV can bring higher repair exposure than a simpler older vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Armada?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SL is the base model in Canada and uses 12.3-inch displays, while higher trims get larger 14.3-inch screens and more upscale cabin touches. The PRO-4X adds a skid plate, all-terrain tyres, and a more rugged look, while Platinum Reserve brings the most luxurious presentation and a head-up display.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 with 425 horsepower and a nine-speed automatic, plus standard Intelligent Four-Wheel Drive in Canada. The PRO-4X and Platinum Reserve also benefit from adaptive electronic air suspension.
• Safety package: ProPILOT Assist is standard, with ProPILOT Assist 1.1 on the SL, Platinum, and PRO-4X, and ProPILOT Assist 2.1 on Platinum Reserve. Standard features include adaptive cruise control with active lane-centring steering assistance, plus Nissan Safety Shield 360 with traffic-sign recognition, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, lane-departure warning and prevention, and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets two large screens, with 12.3-inch displays on the SL and 14.3-inch displays on PRO-4X, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Google Built-In, six USB-C ports, and a wireless charging pad.

Which 2025 Nissan Armada trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Armada is offered in 4 trim levels: SL, Platinum, PRO-4X, Platinum Reserve.

Here's the short version:

• SL: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core Armada experience with standard wireless smartphone integration, 12.3-inch displays, and the full safety suite. It makes sense if you want the least expensive way into the redesigned model.
• Platinum: This trim adds a more upscale feel and the larger 14.3-inch screens, making it a strong middle-ground choice if you want more luxury without going all the way to the top.
• PRO-4X: This is the one to choose if you want the Armada’s new off-road character, with all-terrain tyres, a skid plate, an electronic locking rear differential, and adaptive air suspension. It is the best fit if that added capability matters to you.
• Platinum Reserve: This is the most luxurious version, with the most advanced driver-assistance tech, a head-up display, and the richest cabin presentation. It is the best choice if you want the most premium Armada and are willing to pay for it.

The safety package varies by trim, with ProPILOT Assist 1.1 on the SL, Platinum, and PRO-4X, and ProPILOT Assist 2.1 on the Platinum Reserve.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Armada?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 77 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.02% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $78,365 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Armada's resale value?

The current average of $78,365 CAD sits slightly below last year's $92,219 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has moved in your favour as a buyer, but it also means a future seller may need to price more competitively to stand out. If you buy now, the softer pricing could help you limit depreciation exposure compared with a period when values were higher. The Armada’s broad trim range and updated equipment should help support demand, especially for well-equipped examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Armada safe?

The 2025 Armada earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist suite is standard, with ProPILOT Assist 1.1 on the SL, Platinum, and PRO-4X, and ProPILOT Assist 2.1 on the Platinum Reserve. Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control with active lane-centring steering assistance, plus Nissan Safety Shield 360 with traffic-sign recognition, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, lane-departure warning and prevention, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The Platinum Reserve’s hands-free highway driving assist is the most advanced version, but it still requires regular driver attention. Lower trims do not get that top-end system, so if that feature matters to you, trim choice is important.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Armada or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 brings a full redesign, a new powertrain, and expanded trim choice, including PRO-4X and Platinum Reserve.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a NISMO version with a more performance-oriented character.

The bottom line: If you want the newest redesign and the best current pricing leverage, the 2025 is the stronger buy. If you are specifically interested in the added performance-focused NISMO direction, the 2026 is worth a look, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2025.

The Armada looks like the better value if you want a redesigned full-size SUV with standard wireless smartphone integration and a new off-road option. The Sequoia counters with a more powerful hybrid engine, but its weaker score and packaging drawbacks make it the less compelling pick here.
