Is the 2025 Nissan Armada a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from users and 7.83/10 from our experts. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

The 2025 Armada arrives with a total makeover and a new powertrain, and that fresh third-generation redesign is a big part of its appeal. It also broadens the lineup with SL, Platinum, Platinum Reserve, and PRO-4X trims, so you can shop from a more upscale direction or lean into extra adventure-ready capability.

The main trade-offs are that it is less spacious than some key competitors and its hands-free driving system can be finicky.

With 31.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Nissan Armada reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Armada’s new-generation redesign and updated powertrain point to a more modern ownership experience than the outgoing model. Its standard 4WD setup, broad trim range, and improved technology also suggest Nissan put real effort into making this version feel more complete.

The performance side looks strong on paper, with a new 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6, a nine-speed automatic, and standard Intelligent Four-Wheel Drive in Canada. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to how the vehicle has been driven and maintained, especially if you are considering a higher-use example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Armada?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SL is the base model in Canada and starts with 20-inch wheels and 12.3-inch displays, while the Platinum Reserve adds 22-inch wheels, larger 14.3-inch screens, and a more upscale cabin. The PRO-4X stands out with skid plates, all-terrain tires, and a more rugged look, while the Platinum Reserve is the most luxurious choice.
• Powertrain: Every 2025 Armada uses a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 with 425 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic and standard 4WD. The PRO-4X and Platinum Reserve also get adaptive electronic air suspension.
• Safety package: ProPILOT Assist is standard, with ProPILOT Assist 1.1 on the SL, Platinum, and PRO-4X, and ProPILOT Assist 2.1 on the Platinum Reserve. Standard features include adaptive cruise control with active lane-centring steering assistance, plus speed management based on curves and intersections. Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard as well, and the SL uses a surround-view camera while higher trims get Nissan’s 3D Around View Monitor, Invisible Hood View, and Front Wide View.
• Infotainment: The SL gets dual 12.3-inch screens, while the PRO-4X, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve use dual 14.3-inch screens. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with six USB-C ports, a wireless charging pad, Google Built-In, and a 12-speaker Klipsch Premium Audio System.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada combined fuel consumption is 13.7 L/100 km on most trims, and 14.4 L/100 km on the PRO-4X.

Which 2025 Nissan Armada trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Armada is offered in 4 trim levels: SL, Platinum, Platinum Reserve, PRO-4X.

Here's the short version:

• SL: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core new-generation Armada experience with 12.3-inch screens, standard wireless smartphone connectivity, and the standard safety suite. It makes sense if you want the newest Armada at the lowest price.
• Platinum: This is the best-value upgrade if you want a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the top. You get the larger 14.3-inch screens and a more premium presentation while staying below the Platinum Reserve’s luxury-tax territory.
• Platinum Reserve: This is the luxury-leaning choice, with 14.3-inch screens, adaptive air suspension, a head-up display, and the most upscale cabin treatment. It suits you if comfort and tech matter more than keeping the price in check.
• PRO-4X: This is the trim to choose if you want the Armada’s most adventure-ready setup, with all-terrain tires, skid plates, an electronic locking rear differential, and the improved approach angle. It is the clear pick for buyers who want the most rugged version.

ProPILOT Assist 2.1 is reserved for the Platinum Reserve, while ProPILOT Assist 1.1 is standard on the SL, Platinum, and PRO-4X.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Armada?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough softness in pricing to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 71 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.65% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $79,185 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Armada's resale value?

The current average of $79,246 CAD sits slightly below last year's $91,768 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current pricing trend means you should expect more competition from similarly equipped listings, especially if your vehicle is not in one of the more desirable trims.

The good news is that the Armada’s fresh redesign and expanded trim range should help keep interest alive among shoppers looking for a newer full-size SUV. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Armada safe?

The 2025 Armada earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist suite is standard, with ProPILOT Assist 1.1 on the SL, Platinum, and PRO-4X trims, and ProPILOT Assist 2.1 on the Platinum Reserve. Standard features include adaptive cruise control with active lane-centring steering assistance, plus speed management based on curves and intersections. Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard too, bringing traffic-sign recognition, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, lane-departure warning and prevention, rear cross-traffic alert, and more.

The Platinum Reserve’s hands-free highway driving assist is the most advanced version, but it still asks for regular driver attention. Higher trims also gain Nissan’s 3D Around View Monitor, Invisible Hood View, and Front Wide View, while the SL uses a surround-view camera.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Armada or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 brings a full redesign, a new powertrain, and expanded trim choice.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a NISMO version with a more aggressive performance focus.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Armada with the strongest mix of value, tech, and trim choice, the 2025 is the better starting point. If you are price-sensitive, the current market softness makes it worth shopping carefully for a well-equipped 2025 rather than stretching for a newer model year.
