Is the 2025 Lexus NX a good car?

The 2025 Lexus NX stands out for combining a distinctive look with a strong reputation for dependability. It also gives you a broad range of powertrain choices, standard all-wheel drive in Canada, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay even on the base NX 250.

If you want a premium compact SUV with a modern cabin, strong efficiency options, and a familiar luxury formula, the NX fits that brief well. It is less compelling if you prioritise the most rewarding drive or the most practical packaging in the segment.

With 24.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Lexus NX reliable?

The 2025 Lexus NX is described as having an excellent reliability record, and that is one of its biggest strengths. Lexus has kept the NX’s basic premise and appearance largely intact over time, which reinforces its reputation for consistency and long-term dependability.

For used buyers, that points to lower long-term ownership risk than many rivals, especially if you want a premium SUV that should age predictably.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 24.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 333 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.54% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $49,939 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $49,942 CAD sits slightly below last year's $57,105 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face more price pressure if values continue to soften. If you buy well today, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. For a future seller, the NX’s strong reputation should help support demand, even if pricing remains softer than before.

Should I buy a 2025 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 24.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.54% compared with last year.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $59,801 CAD, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $49,942 CAD average.
• It shifts the lineup toward more affordable hybrid choices.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better primary pick if you want the strongest value in today’s used market. If you are more price-sensitive and want to compare across years, the 2026 is worth a look, but you will likely pay more for it on average.
