Used 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe for Sale near Sarnia, ON

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe cost?

Prices have softened 8.75% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 97 listings available, which gives you a useful amount of inventory to compare before you decide.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

The Tahoe’s appeal is strongest if you want a full-size SUV that feels more modern than before, with a restyled exterior, a much improved interior, and a large touchscreen that brings the cabin up to date. It also keeps the Tahoe’s core strengths intact, including strong towing ability and a practical three-row layout.

The main trade-offs are a tight cargo area with all rows in place and thirsty V8 engines. Even so, the updated diesel option gives you a more compelling choice if you want better efficiency without giving up the Tahoe’s size and capability.

32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Tahoe’s 5.3-litre V8 is described as a battle-tested engine with a strong reputation for reliability, and the 10-speed automatic works fairly unobtrusively. The available diesel is also presented as refined, smooth, and quiet, which is a good sign if you want a powertrain that feels well sorted in daily use.

Chevrolet also includes a broad standard safety and driver-assistance package, which can help reduce stress and wear in regular ownership. For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is mainly tied to the Tahoe’s size, complexity, and higher running costs rather than any single obvious mechanical red flag.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LS is the no-frills starting point, while the LT, Z71, RST, Premier, and High Country add more equipment and personality. The Z71 is aimed at off-road capability, and the RST leans into street-performance-focused styling. If you want the best value, the LT is the trim to focus on because it adds more equipment without jumping all the way to the pricier luxury grades.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 5.3-litre V8 with 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, a 6.2-litre V8 with 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, or a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder diesel with 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque. The diesel is the most fuel-efficient of the three powertrains, with fuel consumption as low as 9.7 litres per 100 kilometres on the highway.
• Safety package: Every Tahoe includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist with lane-departure warning, pedestrian and bicycle braking, automatic parking assist, a surround-view camera, and a teen driver monitoring system. GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving tech is available, though some 2025 Tahoes sold in late 2024 did not come with the feature.
• Infotainment: You get a 17.7-inch touchscreen, an 11-inch driver information screen, and an optional 15-inch head-up display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and Google Built-in is integrated into the native system.
• Fuel efficiency: The diesel engine is the efficiency standout, with fuel consumption as low as 9.7 litres per 100 kilometres on the highway.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe is offered in 6 trim levels: LS, LT, Z71, RST, Premier, and High Country.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, but it still gets the new 17.7-inch touchscreen and the standard ADAS suite, which makes it a strong starting point if you want the updated Tahoe experience without paying for extras you may not need.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more equipment while staying below the more expensive luxury-focused grades.
• Z71: Choose this if you want the more rugged, off-road-oriented Tahoe, especially with its skid plates, front recovery hooks, all-terrain tyres, and lifted stance.
• RST: This is the style-forward choice, and it can also be equipped with the diesel, the 6.2-litre V8, and Air Ride adaptive suspension.
• Premier: This trim moves you further into luxury territory and can be paired with the stronger engine options and available suspension upgrades.
• High Country: This is the top-tier choice if you want the most upscale Tahoe, and it comes standard with the 6.2-litre V8.

The standard safety package is generous across the lineup, so you do not need to move far up the range just to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 97 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.75% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $85,804 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

The current average of $85,804 CAD sits slightly below last year's $94,030 CAD.

That softer pricing can be good news if you are buying now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive resale environment if the market stays loose. The Tahoe’s strong brand recognition, updated tech, and broad appeal should help support demand, especially for well-equipped trims and desirable powertrains.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe safe?

The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe has not been crash-tested by NHTSA, but the 2024 Tahoe earned a four-star overall rating from NHTSA. The 2024 Tahoe also received an Acceptable rating in the IIHS small overlap front test and a Poor rating in the moderate overlap front updated test, and it was not awarded a Top Safety Pick designation.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevrolet includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist with lane-departure warning, pedestrian and bicycle braking, automatic parking assist, a surround-view camera, and a teen driver monitoring system on every Tahoe. GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving tech is available, though some 2025 Tahoes sold in late 2024 did not come with the feature.

The main caveat is that the Tahoe’s crash-test record is mixed, so you should weigh its strong standard safety tech against those results if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 brings a restyled front and rear, a much improved interior, and a more compelling diesel option.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date Tahoe with the best tech and a stronger diesel option, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are mainly focused on value, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2025 is the better pick if you want the freshest cabin and are willing to shop carefully for a good deal.
