Used 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe for Sale nearSaint John, NB

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe cost?

Prices have softened 9.19% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 104 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

The Tahoe’s refresh gives you a new fascia, updated lighting signatures, a restyled rear, and a much more modern cabin with a fancy touchscreen. It is a strong fit if you want a large SUV that feels current without losing its familiar character.

The main trade-offs are tight cargo space with all rows in place and thirsty V8 engines. Even so, the Tahoe’s capability, towing strength, and updated tech make it a compelling choice for buyers who need a full-size SUV that can do serious work.

31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a reasonable chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Tahoe’s 5.3-litre V8 is described as battle-tested with a strong reputation for reliability, and the available diesel is presented as refined, smooth, and quiet. The 2025 model also keeps a 10-speed automatic transmission and a familiar, conservative approach to the Tahoe formula, which should help reduce surprises for used buyers.

Chevrolet also includes a broad set of standard driver aids, and the Tahoe’s updated cabin and controls suggest a vehicle that should age well if it has been maintained properly. For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is still the same one this SUV has always had: higher running costs if you choose a V8 and need to live with a large, heavy vehicle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LS is the no-frills starting point, while the LT, Z71, RST, Premier, and High Country add more equipment and, in some cases, a more luxurious or lifestyle-focused character. The base trim still gets the new 17.7-inch touchscreen and standard ADAS suite, so you do not need to move up the ladder just to get the core tech.
• Powertrain: You can shop the 5.3-litre V8, the 6.2-litre V8, or the 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder diesel. The diesel is the efficiency standout, with fuel consumption as low as 9.7 L/100 km on the highway, and it is described as refined, smooth, and quiet.
• Safety package: Every Tahoe includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist with lane-departure warning, pedestrian and bicycle braking, automatic parking assist, a surround-view camera, and a teen driver monitoring system. GM’s Super Cruise is available, though some late-2024 sold 2025 models did not come with it.
• Infotainment: You get a 17.7-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and Google Built-in. The system also supports an optional 15-inch head-up display, but the driver display controls can take some getting used to.
• Fuel efficiency: The diesel is the most efficient of the three powertrains, with fuel consumption as low as 9.7 L/100 km on the highway.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe is offered in 6 trim levels: LS, LT, Z71, RST, Premier, and High Country.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the value play if you want the Tahoe’s core strengths without paying for extras. It already gets the new 17.7-inch touchscreen and the standard safety suite, so it covers the essentials well.
• LT: This is the trim to target if you want a more rounded Tahoe and plan to add the diesel, since that engine is available here. It is a sensible step up if you want more flexibility without jumping too far in price.
• Z71: This is the best fit if you want the more rugged, lifestyle-oriented Tahoe. It adds full-length skid plates, front recovery hooks, all-terrain tyres, and a 2.5-centimetre lift, and it can also be paired with the diesel.
• RST: Choose this if you want the street-performance-focused styling and a more distinctive look. It can also be equipped with the 6.2-litre V8 or the diesel, which broadens its appeal.
• Premier: This is the better choice if you want a more luxurious Tahoe and are willing to pay for it. It can be paired with the 6.2-litre V8 or the diesel, making it a strong upper-middle option.
• High Country: This is the top-tier choice if you want the most upscale Tahoe and the standard 6.2-litre V8. It is the most expensive trim, so it makes sense mainly if you want the full luxury experience.

The standard safety package is a strong reason to consider even the lower trims, since the core ADAS features are included across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 104 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.19% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $85,965 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

The current average of $86,564 CAD sits slightly below last year's $95,322 CAD.

That softer pricing can be good news if you are buying now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. If you own one for several years, the Tahoe’s broad appeal, strong capability, and updated tech should help support demand, especially for well-equipped examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe safe?

The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe has not been crash-tested by NHTSA, but the 2024 Tahoe earned four-star ratings in overall crash safety from NHTSA. The 2024 Tahoe also received an Acceptable rating in the small overlap front test and a Poor rating in the moderate overlap front updated test from IIHS, and it was not awarded a Top Safety Pick designation.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevrolet includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist with lane-departure warning, pedestrian and bicycle braking, automatic parking assist, a surround-view camera, and a teen driver monitoring system on every Tahoe. GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving tech is available, though some late-2024 sold 2025 models did not come with it.

The main caveat is that the Tahoe’s IIHS results were mixed, so safety-conscious used buyers should pay close attention to trim equipment and driver-assistance availability.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 brings a meaningful refresh with a new fascia, updated lighting signatures, a restyled rear, and a much improved interior with a fancy touchscreen.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the updated Tahoe experience and can take advantage of the softer pricing. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, a nearby model year may still be worth comparing, but the 2025 is the better pick if the refreshed cabin and tech matter to you.
