Used 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe for Sale nearCalgary, AB

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe cost?

Prices have softened 9.92% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 90 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

The Tahoe stands out because it brings the first noteworthy update since 2021, with a new fascia and a welcome update to its tech. It also arrives with a restyled front and rear, including new lighting signatures, so the changes are visible before you even step inside. Inside, the biggest appeal is the improved interior and fancy touchscreen, which give the Tahoe a more modern feel.

The trade-offs are clear: the cargo space is tight with all rows in place, and the V8 engines are thirsty.

For you, that means the Tahoe makes the most sense if you want a large SUV that feels more up to date without giving up strong towing ability. The market also shows 31.1% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Tahoe’s reliability case is helped by its long-running nameplate and its battle-tested V8 lineup. The available diesel is described as refined, smooth, and quiet, and the 5.3-litre V8 is presented as a strong-reputation powerplant for reliability. The upgraded diesel also adds a more efficient option for buyers who want to reduce fuel use without giving up full-size SUV capability.

You also get a practical ownership advantage from the Tahoe’s broad equipment list, including standard driver-assistance features on every trim. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a large, complex SUV can be costly to keep if you choose a higher-spec version with more equipment and heavier use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LS is the no-frills starting point, while the LT, Z71, RST, Premier, and High Country add more equipment and, in some cases, more specialised character. The Z71 is aimed at off-road capability, and the RST focuses on street-performance styling. The base LS is the one most likely to feel light on extras, so it’s worth checking whether the features you want are standard or reserved for higher trims.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 5.3-litre V8, a 6.2-litre V8, or a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder diesel. The diesel is the efficiency standout and is described as refined, smooth, and quiet, while the V8s deliver traditional Tahoe character. In Canada, rear-wheel drive is standard only on the LS, and four-wheel drive is standard on every other trim.
• Safety package: Every Tahoe includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist with lane-departure warning, pedestrian and bicycle braking, automatic parking assist, a surround-view camera, and a teen driver monitoring system. GM’s Super Cruise is available, though some 2025 Tahoes sold in late 2024 did not come with it.
• Infotainment: You get a 17.7-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and Google Built-in. The system also pairs with an 11-inch driver information screen, and there’s an optional 15-inch head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The diesel is the efficiency leader, with fuel consumption as low as 9.7 litres per 100 kilometres on the highway.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe is offered in 6 trim levels: LS, LT, Z71, RST, Premier, High Country.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the value starting point if you want the Tahoe’s core capability and the standard 17.7-inch touchscreen without paying for extra luxury or appearance upgrades. It’s the trim to focus on if you want the lowest entry price and can live with the most basic presentation.
• LT: This is the trim to consider if you want a more balanced everyday Tahoe and are planning to add the diesel powertrain. It gives you a step up from the LS without jumping straight to the more expensive lifestyle or luxury trims.
• Z71: This is the best fit if you want the more rugged Tahoe character. It adds full-length skid plates, front recovery hooks, all-terrain tyres, and a 2.5-centimetre lift, and it’s the trim most clearly aimed at off-road capability.
• RST: Choose this if you want the street-focused look and are interested in a more style-driven Tahoe. It can also be equipped with the 6.2-litre V8, the diesel, and available Air Ride adaptive suspension, so it has broad appeal if you want a sportier appearance with strong equipment options.
• Premier: This is the better pick if you want a more upscale Tahoe without going all the way to the top trim. It can be equipped with the 6.2-litre V8, the diesel, and Air Ride adaptive suspension, making it a strong choice for buyers who want comfort and flexibility.
• High Country: This is the top luxury-oriented choice, and it comes standard with the 6.2-litre V8. If you want the most premium Tahoe experience, this is the trim to target.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you should shop carefully and compare listings.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 90 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.92% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $86,587 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe's resale value?

The current average of $86,587 CAD sits slightly below last year's $96,124 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Tahoe has become more accessible for used buyers, which can help future sellers if they bought at the right time. At the same time, the softer market means you may need to price a used Tahoe competitively if you plan to sell later. Strong equipment, especially desirable trims and the diesel powertrain, should help support demand when it’s time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe safe?

The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe has not been crash-tested by NHTSA, but the 2024 Tahoe earned four-star overall crash safety ratings from NHTSA. The 2024 Tahoe also received an Acceptable rating in the small overlap front test and a Poor rating in the moderate overlap front updated test from IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Tahoe includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist with lane-departure warning, pedestrian and bicycle braking, automatic parking assist, a surround-view camera, and a teen driver monitoring system. GM’s Super Cruise is available, though some 2025 Tahoes sold in late 2024 did not come with the feature.

The main safety caveat is the weaker IIHS result in the moderate overlap front updated test, which is worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority for you.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 brings a restyled front and rear, a much larger touchscreen, and an upgraded diesel engine with more horsepower and torque.

The bottom line: If you want the most up-to-date Tahoe experience, the 2025 is the better pick because it adds the biggest tech and interior improvements in years. If your priority is simply getting into a Tahoe at the lowest possible price, a nearby older model year may be the more budget-friendly path, especially if you can live without the latest cabin and tech updates.
