How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado earns an 7.83/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

It’s a strong entry in the midsize truck segment, and it’s aimed at nearly any type of buyer while putting a special emphasis on off-pavement performance. You also get a right-sized truck that should fit in a garage and be easier to park in town, which makes it appealing if you want pickup utility without moving up to a larger vehicle.

The trade-offs are clear: you may face sticker shock, fuel economy is poor, and value for money is questionable.

With 36.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, there’s enough market activity to keep shopping selective rather than rushed.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado is presented as a straightforward, modern midsize truck with a standard turbocharged engine and easy-to-use technology, which supports a solid ownership experience.

Its powertrain is described as quick to respond, with minimal lag right off idle, and the transmission shifts quickly and smoothly. The truck’s off-road hardware is also substantial on the higher trims, which suggests a robust mechanical focus rather than a fragile one.

Chevrolet’s standard safety and driver-assistance package adds a broad set of features, and Teen Driver technology is standard across the lineup. If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is that poor fuel economy and higher trim pricing can make it expensive to live with over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Colorado?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: WT is the most work-focused version, while LT adds body-colour door handles and mirrors plus nicer wheels. Trail Boss brings a five-centimetre factory suspension lift and off-road styling, Z71 adds 32-inch tires and tow recovery hooks, and ZR2 stands out with unique wheels, a distinctive hood, and standard leather seating surfaces.
• Powertrain: Every Colorado uses a 2.7-litre TurboMax four-cylinder with 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. Four-wheel drive is optional on WT but standard in Canada on LT, Trail Boss, Z71 and ZR2.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a following distance indicator and automatic high beams. Blind-zone steering assist, reverse automatic emergency braking and rear park assist are also standard, while rear pedestrian alert, trailering support for blind-zone steering assist and a 360-degree camera system are optional.
• Infotainment: Every Colorado gets an 11.3-inch touchscreen, Google built-in software, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus voice recognition.
• Fuel efficiency: Estimated fuel economy is 13.6 L/100 km city, 11.0 highway and 12.4 combined with 4WD. The ZR2 rises to 14.1 city, 13.8 highway and 14.0 combined, while the ZR2 Bison is rated at 14.8 city, 15.1 highway and 14.9 combined.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• WT: This is the value-oriented starting point if you want the Colorado’s core capability and standard tech without paying for extra appearance or off-road hardware.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a more polished look and standard 4WD in Canada while staying below the more specialised trims.
• Trail Boss: Choose this if you want the factory lift and a more off-road-ready setup without jumping all the way to the ZR2.
• Z71: This is the balanced upgrade if you want stronger off-road cues, 32-inch tires and a more upscale appearance.
• ZR2: Pick this if off-road performance is your priority; it brings the most serious hardware and the most distinctive look.

Chevy Safety Assist and Teen Driver technology are standard across all Colorado models.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 189 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.29% compared with last year.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $52,711 CAD sits slightly below last year's $59,421 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Colorado is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. Well-equipped off-road trims may still hold appeal, but the broader trend points to a less favourable resale environment than last year.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.29% compared with last year.
• It combines strong standard turbo power with off-road-focused trims and easy-to-use technology.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $47,872 CAD, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $52,711 CAD average.
• It feels more focused on recreation and lifestyle use.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It stays mostly unchanged while adding a new Bronze Accent Package.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the best all-around choice if you want the current-year mix of capability, tech and softened pricing. If your priority is spending less, the 2024 is the better value play. If you want the latest version with only minor changes, the 2026 is a reasonable alternative.
