Used 2025 BMW X3 for Sale near New Brunswick

How much does the 2025 BMW X3 cost?

Prices have softened 10.96% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 326 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 BMW X3 a good car?

Generally — the 2025 BMW X3 earns 4/5 from owners and 7.5/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

It stands out as a driver-focused compact luxury SUV with unusual design, impressive technology, and plenty of ways to tailor the vehicle to your preferences. The trade-offs are clear: the ride can be firm, the interior materials can feel cheap, and the technology can be frustrating in daily use.

For you, that means the X3 makes the most sense if you value style and driving enjoyment more than a soft-riding, traditional luxury feel. The market also shows 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which is a healthy sign for shoppers.

Is the 2025 BMW X3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The X3’s appeal is reinforced by its strong overall package, with the model described as rewarding and well suited to buyers who want a compact luxury SUV that feels engaging rather than merely comfortable. Its turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder is described as a gem of an engine, and the mild-hybrid system helps improve off-the-line responsiveness while making start-stop operation nearly imperceptible.

BMW also includes complimentary maintenance for the length of a typical lease, which can help reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the X3’s more complex technology and premium hardware could be costly if you end up needing repairs outside the coverage period.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 BMW X3?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 30 xDrive and M50 xDrive differ most in character, with the 30 xDrive leaning into value and the M50 xDrive adding much more power. The base model’s minimalist cabin, unusual design, and strong value proposition are key parts of its appeal, while the higher-spec version is for you if you want more performance and are willing to pay for it.
• Powertrain: The 30 xDrive uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 255 hp, 295 lb-ft of torque, an eight-speed automatic, standard xDrive AWD, and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The M50 xDrive upgrades to a turbocharged 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder with 393 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and front, side, and rear parking sensors. The Premium Package adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and Steering Assistant technology, while the Parking Assistant Professional Package adds semi-automated parking tech, remote operation through the MyBMW app, and BMW Maneuver Assistant.
• Infotainment: The BMW Curved Display runs Operating System 9, also known as iDrive 9. Wireless Apple CarPlay is supported, and BMW Live Cockpit Professional adds an augmented video navigation feature. The system’s profile setup and native functions were frustrating in testing, so you should verify that the interface works smoothly for you.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada combined rating is 8.1 L/100 km.

Which 2025 BMW X3 trim should I buy?

The 2025 BMW X3 is offered in 2 trim levels: 30 xDrive and M50 xDrive.

Here's the short version:

• 30 xDrive: This is the best-value choice if you want the X3’s style, strong everyday performance, and broad feature set without paying for the more expensive performance model. It delivers the core X3 experience and is the trim that best matches the model’s value-for-money appeal.
• M50 xDrive: Choose this if you want the quickest, most powerful X3 and are willing to pay for the extra performance. It suits you best if driving excitement matters more than keeping the purchase price in check.

The Premium Package adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and Steering Assistant technology, while the Parking Assistant Professional Package adds semi-automated parking tech.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 BMW X3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 326 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.96% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $61,129 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 BMW X3's resale value?

The current average of $61,129 CAD sits slightly below last year's $68,650 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the X3 more attractive to used buyers today but may also limit upside for a future seller in the near term. If you buy at the right price, you may have less depreciation risk than someone who paid closer to the higher end of the range. The model’s strong demand profile and broad appeal should still help support resale interest over time.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 BMW X3 safe?

The 2025 BMW X3 earns a four-star overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), one notch below a top five-star rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and front, side, and rear parking sensors. The Premium Package adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and Steering Assistant technology, while the Parking Assistant Professional Package adds semi-automated parking tech and remote parking functions.

A key caveat is that Steering Assistant can be aggravating when used without adaptive cruise control, so you may prefer to rely on lane-keeping assist unless you’re on a wide-open highway.

Should I buy a 2025 BMW X3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The redesigned X3 brings unusual design, impressive technology, and strong driving enjoyment.

Consider the 2026 if:

• The base model looks and feels a little more upscale inside.

The bottom line: If you want the most distinctive version of the X3 and you’re shopping on price, the 2025 is the stronger pick because it combines a softer market with the redesigned model’s fresh appeal. If you’re more focused on a slightly more upscale-feeling cabin and don’t mind paying for the newer year, the 2026 is worth a look.
