How much does the 2025 Audi Q5 cost?

Prices have softened 11.50% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 408 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Audi Q5 a good car?

The 2025 Audi Q5 earns an expert rating of 7.17/10.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

You get a compact luxury SUV that leans into comfort and straightforward technology, with standard all-wheel drive and an easy-to-use cabin setup that should make daily driving less frustrating. The trade-offs are a potentially polarising design and an irritating transmission, and the high base price may give you pause.

The market shows 40.7% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Audi Q5 reliable?

The 2025 Audi Q5 is presented as a polished, well-finished luxury SUV with standard quattro all-wheel drive, a premium interior, and a four-year/80,000-kilometre new vehicle and powertrain warranty.

Its standard powertrain is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and the model’s overall setup is aimed more at refinement and everyday usability than at hard-driving excitement. The expert assessment also notes that the Q5 is competent rather than compelling, which matters if you want a vehicle that feels reassuring over time rather than especially engaging.

Audi’s coverage helps, but the transmission’s rough shifts and the model’s premium pricing mean long-term ownership risk is still tied to whether you value comfort and tech enough to accept those compromises in a used example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi Q5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base model is the least expensive way in, but the Progressiv and Technik trims add more of the features that make the Q5 feel properly premium. All but the base model get matrix-design LED headlights and animated taillights, so you should check whether the lower trim leaves out equipment you care about.
• Powertrain: The standard Q5 uses a 2.0-litre turbo-four with 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, while the SQ5 uses a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 with 362 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. Both use a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and quattro all-wheel drive, and the transmission’s off-the-line hesitation is worth paying attention to on a test drive.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning with swerve and turn aids, lane departure warning, parking sensors, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and an exit alert feature. Make sure the trim you are considering includes the equipment you expect, especially if you are comparing base and higher trims.
• Infotainment: The standard setup includes an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto plus a cooled wireless charging pad. Progressiv adds four USB-C ports and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, while Technik adds a 10.9-inch passenger touchscreen.
• Fuel efficiency: Official Canadian fuel consumption ratings were not available, but the EPA-estimated combined figures are 9.4 L/100 km for the Q5 and 10.7 L/100 km for the SQ5.

Which 2025 Audi Q5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi Q5 is offered in 3 trim levels: base, Progressiv, and Technik.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point if you want the Q5’s standard all-wheel drive, strong tech foundation, and premium feel without stretching to a higher price. It makes sense if you value the core package more than extra luxury features.
• Progressiv: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds meaningful equipment such as matrix-design LED headlights, animated taillights, four USB-C ports, and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system. If you want the sweet spot between price and features, this is the one to focus on.
• Technik: Choose this if you want the most advanced cabin experience, including the passenger touchscreen and available air suspension. It suits you best if you want the most upscale version of the Q5 and are willing to pay for it.

Standard safety equipment is broad across the lineup, so you can shop by feature content rather than worrying about a major safety-package gap between trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Audi Q5?

It looks like a buyer’s market if you are shopping carefully.

• Deal availability: 40.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 408 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.50% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $54,883 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $54,883 CAD sits slightly below last year's $62,013 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the Q5 has moved into a more buyer-friendly position, which can help you negotiate now but may also limit how much value you recover later. If you buy at today’s average, you are starting from a lower resale baseline than a seller who bought when prices were higher. For a future seller, that means the market may not reward you as strongly unless demand tightens again.

Is the 2025 Audi Q5 safe?

The 2025 Audi Q5 received too many Marginal or Acceptable ratings in IIHS crash testing for a Top Safety Pick designation.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning with swerve and turn aids, lane departure warning, parking sensors, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring and traffic sign recognition. It also includes an exit alert feature that flashes warnings if occupants are about to open a door into the path of an oncoming vehicle or cyclist.

The main caveat is that the IIHS results were not very favourable, so you should weigh the strong standard safety tech against the weaker crash-test showing.

Should I buy a 2025 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 40.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.50% compared with last year.
• It appeals to you as a redesign that brings Audi’s current design language and tech suite, helping it keep pace with more recently updated rivals.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Q5 with the latest design and technology, the 2025 is the right direction. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still deliver the core Q5 strengths at a lower entry cost, especially if you are willing to give up some of the redesign’s freshness.
