How much does the 2025 Audi Q5 cost?

Prices have softened 9.00% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 401 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Audi Q5 a good car?

The 2025 Audi Q5 earns an expert rating of 7.17/10.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

It is aimed at you if you want a comfortable, standard all-wheel-drive luxury SUV with easy-to-use technology and a more modern design than the outgoing version. The trade-offs are a potentially polarising design and an irritating transmission, and the high base price may also give you pause. Even so, it comes across as a polished, well-rounded choice rather than a standout in every area.

40.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which is a healthy signal for shoppers comparing offers.

Is the 2025 Audi Q5 reliable?

The 2025 Audi Q5 is presented as a refined, comfort-focused luxury SUV with standard all-wheel drive and a premium interior, but its redesign is still relatively new. The expert assessment also points to a competent chassis and well-executed technology, which supports the impression of a well-sorted vehicle.

Its powertrain is described as using a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with quattro all-wheel drive, and the expert notes that the transmission can be rough off the line and that both engines showed noticeable turbo lag. That means the driving experience may feel less polished than the specs suggest.

Audi’s four-year/80,000-kilometre new vehicle warranty and equivalent powertrain warranty help support ownership confidence. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a newer redesign can bring more uncertainty than a mature carryover model, especially if you plan to keep the vehicle for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Audi Q5?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base model is the most stripped-back version, while Progressiv and Technik add more equipment. All but the base model get matrix-design LED headlights and animated taillights, so you should check whether the features you want are missing on the lower trim.
• Powertrain: The Q5 uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, while the SQ5 uses a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 with 362 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and the expert notes turbo lag and rough shifts.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning with swerve and turn aids, lane departure warning, parking sensors, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and exit alert.
• Infotainment: Standard equipment includes an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a cooled wireless charging pad. The Technik trim adds a 10.9-inch front passenger touchscreen.
• Fuel efficiency: Official Canadian fuel consumption ratings were not available. The expert cites an estimated combined fuel economy of 9.4 litres per 100 kilometres for the Q5 and 10.7 L/100 km for the SQ5.

Which 2025 Audi Q5 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi Q5 is offered in 3 trim levels: base, Progressiv, and Technik.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable with fewer extras. It still gives you the core Q5 experience, but you miss out on some of the nicer lighting and convenience upgrades found higher up.
• Progressiv: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds meaningful equipment without jumping to the top trim. It brings four USB-C ports and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system with 3D sound, making it the sweet spot if you care about cabin tech and everyday usability.
• Technik: Choose this if you want the most fully loaded Q5. It adds the front passenger touchscreen and is the trim level associated with available air suspension, so it is the one to target if you want the most advanced feature set.

All but the base model are equipped with matrix-design LED headlights and animated taillights.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Audi Q5?

It looks like a buyer-friendly time to shop if you are comparing listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 40.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 401 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.00% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $56,017 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $56,017 CAD sits slightly below last year's $61,557 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Q5 has become more affordable for used buyers, which can help demand in the short term. For a future seller, it also means you may need to price competitively if the market stays soft. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later.

Is the 2025 Audi Q5 safe?

The 2025 Audi Q5 received too many Marginal or Acceptable ratings in the Institute’s crash testing for a Top Safety Pick designation.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and forward collision warning with swerve and turn aids, lane departure warning, parking sensors, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and an exit alert feature that warns occupants if they are about to open a door into the path of an oncoming vehicle or cyclist.

The main safety caveat is that the redesigned model’s IIHS results were not very favourable, so you should not assume it is class-leading just because it is a premium SUV.

Should I buy a 2025 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 40.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.00% compared with last year.
• It brings Audi’s current design language and tech suite, and the expert verdict says there’s plenty to like even if it is not the definitive small luxury SUV.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Q5 with the most up-to-date design and technology, the 2025 is the one to focus on. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, especially if you are prioritising value over the latest redesign.
