About 2025 Audi A5
overall
The A5 drops two body styles while taking the place of the A4 sedan in Audi’s lineup.
The redesigned 2025 Audi A5 compact luxury car takes on a more important role in the luxury brand’s lineup. The coupe and convertible body styles are gone, leaving only a five-door hatchback akin to the previous-generation A5 Sportback (Europe gets an A5 Avant wagon as well). The new A5 also replaces the slower-selling A4 sedan as Audi’s answer to the Alfa Romeo Giulia, BMW 3 Series, Cadillac CT4, Genesis G70, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Lexus IS.
Verdict: The new Audi A5 impresses with tech, handling poise, and practicality, but represents a significant effective price increase for returning Audi customers.

| Average Price a Year Ago | $67,559 CAD |

Is the 2025 Audi A5 a good car?
With no expert test-drive score provided here, you should lean on the market data: the 2025 Audi A5 is priced at $49,985 CAD on average, and that sits well below its average price a year ago. That combination points to a model that may offer stronger value than it did last year, especially if you are comparing listings carefully.
The market also shows 20.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop selectively.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Audi A5?
This looks like a moderate buyer's market, so you can be selective without waiting forever.
- Deal availability: 20.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 89 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 26.01% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $49,967 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Audi A5's resale value?
The current average of $49,985 CAD sits slightly below last year's $67,559 CAD.
That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can be helpful if you're buying now but less favourable if you're planning to sell soon. If you own one, your resale value may be more sensitive to mileage, condition, and equipment than it would have been a year ago. For a future seller, the current pricing trend points to a market where holding the car longer could matter more than trying to time a quick flip.
Should I buy a 2025 Audi A5 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 20.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 26.01% compared with last year.
The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing and available inventory, the 2025 is the primary year to focus on. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep comparing nearby model years and target the listings that land closest to the low end of the current range.
