About 2025 Audi A5
overall
The A5 drops two body styles while taking the place of the A4 sedan in Audi’s lineup.
The redesigned 2025 Audi A5 compact luxury car takes on a more important role in the luxury brand’s lineup. The coupe and convertible body styles are gone, leaving only a five-door hatchback akin to the previous-generation A5 Sportback (Europe gets an A5 Avant wagon as well). The new A5 also replaces the slower-selling A4 sedan as Audi’s answer to the Alfa Romeo Giulia, BMW 3 Series, Cadillac CT4, Genesis G70, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Lexus IS.
Verdict: The new Audi A5 impresses with tech, handling poise, and practicality, but represents a significant effective price increase for returning Audi customers.

How much does the 2025 Audi A5 cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $50,436 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $50,436 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $67,548 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $66,718 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −24.40% |
Prices have softened 24.40% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 87 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2025 Audi A5 a good car?
With no expert test-drive data available for this model year, the best read comes from the market itself: the 2025 Audi A5 is trading at an average of $50,436 CAD, and prices are down 24.40% from a year ago. That combination points to a market where you may have more room to negotiate than you would have previously.
The fact that 25.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Audi A5?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be choosy if you're prepared to compare listings closely.
- Deal availability: 25.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 87 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 24.40% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $50,436 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Audi A5's resale value?
The current average of $50,436 CAD sits slightly below last year's $66,718 CAD.
That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to resell later, the current softer pricing may limit near-term upside unless demand strengthens. For a future seller, the key will be buying well now so you have more room to absorb depreciation later.
Should I buy a 2025 Audi A5 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 25.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 24.40% compared with last year.
The bottom line: If you want the newest version in this range and you can take advantage of the softer pricing, the 2025 is the better starting point. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you should also compare nearby model years and focus on the listings that land in the lower end of the current price range.
These recommendations are based on CarGurus' proprietary market data from September 29, 2026, CarGurus experts' opinions, and generative AI.
