About 2025 Audi A5
overall
The A5 drops two body styles while taking the place of the A4 sedan in Audi’s lineup.
The redesigned 2025 Audi A5 compact luxury car takes on a more important role in the luxury brand’s lineup. The coupe and convertible body styles are gone, leaving only a five-door hatchback akin to the previous-generation A5 Sportback (Europe gets an A5 Avant wagon as well). The new A5 also replaces the slower-selling A4 sedan as Audi’s answer to the Alfa Romeo Giulia, BMW 3 Series, Cadillac CT4, Genesis G70, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Lexus IS.
Verdict: The new Audi A5 impresses with tech, handling poise, and practicality, but represents a significant effective price increase for returning Audi customers.

How much does the 2025 Audi A5 cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $50,652 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $50,450 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $67,548 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $67,491 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −24.95% |
Prices have softened 24.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 80 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2025 Audi A5 a good car?
With no expert test-drive data available for this model year, the best read comes from the market itself: the 2025 Audi A5 is trading at an average of $50,652 CAD, and 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Audi A5?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings carefully.
- Deal availability: 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 80 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 24.95% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $50,450 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Audi A5's resale value?
The current average of $50,652 CAD sits slightly below last year's $67,491 CAD.
That kind of drop can improve your buying position now, but it also means future resale value may depend heavily on how well you buy in the current market. If you plan to sell later, paying closer to the lower end of the range can help protect your long-term value.
Should I buy a 2025 Audi A5 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 26.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 24.95% compared with last year.
The bottom line: If you want the newest version in this price band and you can take advantage of the softer market, the 2025 is the better starting point. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, especially if you can find a lower-priced listing near the bottom of the current range.
