About 2025 Audi A5
overall
The A5 drops two body styles while taking the place of the A4 sedan in Audi’s lineup.
The redesigned 2025 Audi A5 compact luxury car takes on a more important role in the luxury brand’s lineup. The coupe and convertible body styles are gone, leaving only a five-door hatchback akin to the previous-generation A5 Sportback (Europe gets an A5 Avant wagon as well). The new A5 also replaces the slower-selling A4 sedan as Audi’s answer to the Alfa Romeo Giulia, BMW 3 Series, Cadillac CT4, Genesis G70, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Lexus IS.
Verdict: The new Audi A5 impresses with tech, handling poise, and practicality, but represents a significant effective price increase for returning Audi customers.

2025 Audi A5 test drive

| Year-Round High | $67,345 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $67,430 CAD |

Is the 2025 Audi A5 a good car?
With no expert test-drive score provided here, the best read is the market itself: the 2025 Audi A5 is trading at an average of $50,221 CAD, and that sits below last year’s average. That price movement suggests you may have more room to shop carefully than you would in a firmer market.
The listing mix also points to some opportunity, with 19.3% of listings marked as good or great deals.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Audi A5?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.
- Deal availability: 19.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 83 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 25.52% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $49,982 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Audi A5's resale value?
The current average of $50,221 CAD sits slightly below last year's $67,430 CAD.
For a future seller, that means the market has already adjusted downward, so your eventual resale outcome will depend heavily on how well you buy today. If you pay close to the current average, you may have less cushion later unless prices strengthen again. A lower-than-average purchase price gives you a better starting point for resale.
Should I buy a 2025 Audi A5 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
- Choose the 2025 if: 19.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 25.52% compared with last year.
The bottom line: the 2025 is the better fit if you want to shop a year with softer pricing and a decent pool of listings. If you are especially price-sensitive, you should also compare nearby model years to see whether a similar car offers a lower entry point or a better deal share.
