How much does the 2025 Acura RDX cost?

Prices have softened 11.40% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 169 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Acura RDX a good car?

The 2025 Acura RDX earns an expert rating of 6.83/10.

The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

It remains appealing because it refines a familiar formula rather than reinventing it, with subtle styling updates, a new wireless charging pad, improved cupholders, and a better presentation of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It is also described as enjoyable to drive, with good safety ratings and excellent value for money.

The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy, an uncomfortable back seat, and frustrating infotainment controls.

With 34.9% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market still offers some room to find a worthwhile example.

Is the 2025 Acura RDX reliable?

The 2025 Acura RDX is presented as a familiar, long-running design that has been refined rather than overhauled, which can be reassuring if you prefer a proven formula. Its driving hardware is straightforward, and the model’s quality, interior space, practicality, and thoughtful details are highlighted as strengths for long-term use.

The turbocharged engine and SH-AWD system are described as lively and robust, and the cabin materials and everyday usability help it feel well sorted over time. Acura also adds a new wireless charging pad and improves the presentation of smartphone integration, which helps the vehicle feel more current.

If you are buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is living with the thirsty engine and the increasingly frustrating infotainment interface.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Acura RDX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base model gives you the core RDX experience, while the A-Spec and Platinum Elite A-Spec add more visual polish and equipment. The Platinum Elite A-Spec stands out for its full leather upholstery, and the base trim misses some higher-end convenience and safety equipment.
• Powertrain: Every RDX uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and SH-AWD. It is lively, but fuel use rises quickly when you lean on the turbocharged torque.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. Low-speed front and rear braking and a surround-view camera system are reserved for higher trims, and the base RDX lacks low-speed front and rear braking.
• Infotainment: The dashboard display is 10.2 inches, and it is not a touchscreen. You get wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Alexa Built-in, SiriusXM satellite radio, and AcuraLink connected services with a Wi-Fi hotspot. All versions except the base model have navigation and an Acura/ELS Studio premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada rating is 9.9 L/100 km combined for the base trim and 10.3 L/100 km combined for the A-Spec trims.

Which 2025 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2025 Acura RDX is offered in 3 trim levels: base, A-Spec, Platinum Elite A-Spec.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the value play if you want the RDX’s core strengths without paying for extra appearance or luxury upgrades. You still get the turbocharged engine, SH-AWD, AcuraWatch, and the 10.2-inch infotainment display, but you miss out on some of the richer convenience and premium equipment found higher up.
• A-Spec: This trim adds a sportier look with gloss black exterior accents and a finned rear diffuser panel, plus the same black interior theme that suits buyers who want more style. It is the better choice if you want a more distinctive RDX without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• Platinum Elite A-Spec: This is the best-equipped version and the one to choose if you want the most comfort and convenience. It adds full leather upholstery, adaptive damping, and the surround-view camera system, making it the most complete pick for shoppers who want the richest RDX experience.

The safety package is AcuraWatch, and the surround-view camera system is reserved for the Platinum Elite A-Spec.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Acura RDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 169 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.40% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $52,479 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $52,985 CAD sits slightly below last year's $59,806 CAD.

That price movement suggests the RDX has become more attractive to used buyers than it was a year ago. If you are planning to sell later, you should expect a softer resale environment than last year’s market peak.

The good news is that the model still has clear appeal thanks to its equipment, driving character, and overall value. The challenge is that buyers now have more leverage, so condition, trim, and mileage will matter even more when you go to resell.

Is the 2025 Acura RDX safe?

The 2025 Acura RDX earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and a five-star overall crash-test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is standard, and it includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. Higher trims also offer low-speed front and rear braking and a surround-view camera system.

One caveat is that the lane-assist systems were described as irritating in a range of driving situations, though you can turn them off with a steering-wheel button. The base RDX also misses low-speed front and rear braking.

Should I buy a 2025 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.40% compared with last year.
• It adds a new wireless charging pad, improved cupholders, better smartphone integration presentation, and a full-leather upgrade on the top Platinum Elite A-Spec trim.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this familiar RDX formula, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still deliver much of the same driving character and practicality for less money, especially if you can live without the latest cosmetic and convenience updates.
