Used 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan for Sale nearLondon, ON

How much does the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan cost?

Prices have softened 15.16% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 670 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan a good car?

Yes — you get a 5/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating, which points to broad appeal for shoppers who want a polished compact SUV. The Tiguan’s appeal starts with stylish design and good handling, and Volkswagen backs that up with value in areas that matter to many buyers.

The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

The trade-offs are clear: the driving experience is not especially impressive, the throttle can be irritating, and the seats are uncomfortable. It also does not offer a hybrid option, which may matter if you want better efficiency or electrified power.

For shoppers who want a mainstream SUV with a more premium-leaning presence, the Tiguan fits that brief well. 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Tiguan is presented as Volkswagen’s best-selling model, and the 2024 version gets value-adding upgrades. Its standard turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel drive is standard in Canada. That combination gives you a conventional, well-established powertrain layout rather than something experimental.

Volkswagen also backs the Tiguan with a four-year/80,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper limited warranty, including 24/7 roadside assistance. Every new Tiguan also comes with a complimentary four-year subscription to VW Car-Net, which adds remote access, automatic crash notifications, and stolen vehicle location assistance.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Tiguan’s efficiency and driving refinement may not satisfy if you want a lower-cost, more relaxed daily driver.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Trendline comes with heated front seats and cloth seating surfaces, while higher trims add features such as a power tailgate, panoramic sunroof, real leather, front-seat ventilation, a heated steering wheel, and heated outboard rear seats. If you want the most premium cabin, the Highline R-Line is the most fully equipped choice.
• Powertrain: Every 2024 Tiguan uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 184 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard 4Motion all-wheel drive. Fuel economy is rated at 10.6 L/100 km city, 8.0 highway, and 9.4 combined in non R-Line configurations, and 10.9 city, 8.1 highway, and 9.7 combined for R-Line trims.
• Safety package: Forward collision avoidance with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection is standard, as are emergency calling, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and Emergency Assist are part of Travel Assist at the Comfortline trim, while Park Distance Control becomes standard at the Comfortline R-Line Black trim.
• Infotainment: You get an 8-inch centre touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus Volkswagen’s Digital Cockpit System on every trim. Only the R-Line trims get the fully configurable 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro screen, and all but the top trim forego navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: NRCan rates the Tiguan at 9.4 L/100 km combined in non R-Line configurations and 9.7 combined for R-Line trims.

Which 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan trim should I buy?

The 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan is offered in 4 trim levels: Trendline, Comfortline, Comfortline R-Line, and Highline R-Line.

Here's the short version:

• Trendline: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Tiguan’s standard turbocharged engine, 4Motion all-wheel drive, heated front seats, cloth seating surfaces, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the standard safety equipment. It makes sense if you want the Tiguan’s core strengths at the lowest price.
• Comfortline: This trim adds eight-way power driver’s seat adjustability, leatherette upholstery, a power tailgate, and Travel Assist features including adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and Emergency Assist. It is the best-value choice if you want a more complete daily driver without stretching to the top trims.
• Comfortline R-Line: This trim adds the R-Line treatment and a panoramic sunroof, while also bringing Park Distance Control as standard. Choose it if you want more equipment and a more upscale feel than the Comfortline.
• Highline R-Line: This is the most luxurious version, with real leather, front-seat ventilation, a heated steering wheel, three-position driver’s seat memory, eight-way power front passenger adjustment, and heated outboard rear seats. It suits you best if comfort and premium features matter most.

Safety-package note: Travel Assist comes in at the Comfortline trim, and Park Distance Control becomes standard at the Comfortline R-Line Black trim level.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 670 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.16% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,437 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan's resale value?

The current average of $29,437 CAD sits slightly below last year's $34,696 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can make the Tiguan easier to buy now but less favourable if you are planning to sell soon. If you own one, you may need to price it competitively to stand out against a broader pool of used listings. The good news is that the model’s premium styling and standard safety equipment should help keep it relevant with shoppers who want a more upscale compact SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan safe?

The Volkswagen Tiguan earned a 2022 Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), which is that organization’s highest honour.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

In Canada, forward collision avoidance with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection is standard, as are emergency calling, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and Emergency Assist are part of Travel Assist at the Comfortline trim, and Park Distance Control becomes standard at the Comfortline R-Line Black trim level.

One caveat is that the Tiguan has not earned the same 2024 IIHS distinction as of this writing.

Should I buy a 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Volkswagen’s best-selling model gets value-adding upgrades for 2024.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $27,198 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $29,437 CAD average.
• It feels more upscale in appearance and more enjoyable to drive than many rivals.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $39,581 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $29,437 CAD average.
• It corrects the last generation’s user interface issues and feels more refined day to day.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, standard safety, and updated value, the 2024 is the sensible pick. If you are shopping on a tighter budget, the 2023 can save you money, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the redesigned cabin and can stretch your budget.
