Used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas for Sale nearMarkham, ON

How much does the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas cost?

Prices have softened 16.85% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 451 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

It is aimed at you if you want a family-friendly, mid-size three-row SUV with generous interior space, a spacious third row, and plenty of cargo room. The 2024 refresh also adds more standard features and updated styling, which helps it stay competitive in a crowded segment.

The main trade-offs are its fairly pedestrian performance and troublesome haptic controls. Even so, the Atlas still makes a strong case as a roomy, well-equipped family hauler.

33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Atlas is positioned as a practical family SUV, and the 2024 update adds more standard equipment without changing its core mission. Its turbocharged four-cylinder engine is the only powertrain now, and it is paired with standard all-wheel drive in Canada, which keeps the formula straightforward.

The engine is described as pulling strongly and smoothly, and the vehicle’s mechanical changes are framed as meaningful rather than cosmetic. Volkswagen also backs it with a four-year, 80,000-kilometre new vehicle warranty and a five-year, 100,000-kilometre powertrain warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Atlas still prioritises utility over polish, so you should pay close attention to condition and maintenance history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Comfortline gets 18-inch alloy wheels, leatherette seats, and the refreshed exterior and interior design, while Highline adds 20-inch wheels and leather upholstery with contrast stitching. Execline brings 21-inch wheels, slightly sportier styling elements, a head-up display, and premium audio, while Peak Edition adds black 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, blacked-out trim, silver body cladding, and model-specific colours.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with 269 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive in Canada. It is tuned more for comfort and frugality than excitement.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and Travel Assist. Execline adds park assist and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: A 12-inch touchscreen and 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster are standard, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and six USB-C ports. A head-up display is standard on Execline.
• Fuel efficiency: Base fuel economy is 12.2 L/100 km in the city, 9.2 L/100 km on the highway, and 10.8 L/100 km combined. Peak Edition models are rated at 12.6/9.4/11.2 L/100 km, while Highline and Execline are rated at 13.0/9.7/11.5 L/100 km.

Which 2024 Volkswagen Atlas trim should I buy?

The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas is offered in 4 trim levels: Comfortline, Highline, Execline, and Peak Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Comfortline: This is the value play if you want the refreshed Atlas with the core family-hauling strengths and a long list of standard equipment. It already gives you the roomy cabin, standard safety tech, wireless smartphone integration, and the new 12-inch touchscreen, so you do not have to move up just to get the essentials.
• Highline: This trim adds a more upscale feel with 20-inch wheels and leather upholstery with contrast stitching. It suits you if you want a nicer cabin without jumping all the way to the top of the range.
• Execline: This is the best-equipped choice if you want the most convenience and technology. It adds 21-inch wheels, a head-up display, park assist, a surround-view camera system, and premium audio, making it the most complete version.
• Peak Edition: Choose this if you want the more outdoorsy look and the all-terrain tire setup. It is the most distinctive styling choice, but it is not presented as a true off-road model.

Standard safety equipment is broad across the lineup, while Execline adds park assist and a surround-view camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Volkswagen Atlas?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 451 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.85% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,759 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas's resale value?

The current average of $41,759 CAD sits slightly below last year's $50,223 CAD.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Atlas more attractive to used buyers today. For a future seller, it also means you may face more competition if pricing stays soft and inventory remains available.

The Atlas still has strong appeal because it offers lots of space, standard safety features, and a practical three-row layout. Those strengths can help support demand, especially among shoppers who prioritise family utility over driving polish.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas safe?

The 2024 Atlas earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in side crash testing and four-star ratings in frontal and rollover tests.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and Travel Assist. Execline adds park assist and a surround-view camera system.

A caveat to keep in mind is that the structurally similar 2023 model received a Marginal result in the updated moderate overlap front test from IIHS.

Should I buy a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.85% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 refresh adds more standard features and updated styling.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $46,508 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $41,759 CAD average.
• It brings only minor updates after the larger 2024 changes.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the smarter starting point because it already captures the major refresh and currently sits at a lower average price. If you are price-sensitive, the 2024 also gives you more room to find a deal without giving up the Atlas’s core strengths in space and family practicality.
