Used 2024 Toyota Tundra for Sale nearSaskatoon, SK

How much does the 2024 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 13.32% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 346 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — you rate it 5/5, and our experts give it 6.17/10 overall. The standout strength is Performance at 8/10.

The 2024 Toyota Tundra is a massive Texas-built full-size pickup that aims to play in the heavyweights’ class while still carrying Toyota’s reputation for dependability. It stands out for its powerful i-Force Max drivetrain, and the TRD Pro version is noted for its ride and handling. It also offers an open-air driving experience, which gives it a more distinctive feel than a typical big truck.

At the same time, it is not the most capable truck in the segment. It still cannot match the towing and payload capacities of the class leader, and it only beats the Ram 1500 when towing a trailer. Buyers should also be aware that its design may be polarising, forward visibility is poor, and the interior materials feel cheap.

For shoppers who value Toyota’s long-standing reputation and want a large pickup with some appealing performance and character, the Tundra has a clear identity. 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Toyota Tundra leans heavily on Toyota’s reputation for dependability, and the expert notes reinforce that long-term durability is part of the nameplate’s appeal. The truck’s engineering focus is tied to cooling and reliability, and Toyota’s broader durability reputation is a major reason shoppers consider it.

The performance notes also point to a robust powertrain setup, with a twin-turbocharged V6 and, in i-Force Max form, a hybrid system built around a 1.87-kWh battery and electric motor assistance. Toyota also includes complimentary service and connected-service trials, which can reduce early ownership friction.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the current third-generation truck’s durability over many years is still something you should evaluate carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Tundra?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SR is the most stripped-back version, while higher trims add more comfort and convenience. The Limited and above are the safer bets if you want more standard equipment, and the TRD Pro stands out for its off-road hardware and open-air feel.
• Powertrain: Every Tundra uses a twin-turbocharged 3.4-litre V6, with the i-Force Max hybrid adding a 36-kW electric motor and a 1.87-kWh battery. The hybrid setup brings 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque, but it also likes premium gas.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, road-sign recognition, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors with automatic braking require an option package on lower trims or a Limited or higher.
• Infotainment: The TRD Pro tested here had a 14-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are standard, and Toyota includes connected-service trials, including over-the-air-style cloud-based navigation and voice-assistant functionality through Drive Connect.
• Fuel efficiency: The tested hybrid averaged 16.5 L/100 km, while Natural Resources Canada’s combined figure was 12.3 L/100 km.

Which 2024 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Tundra is offered in 5 trim levels: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, and Capstone.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Tundra’s core capability at the lowest starting point.
• SR5: This is the trim to watch if you want a better balance of equipment and value without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• Limited: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it unlocks more convenience and also brings access to more safety equipment.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for it.
• Capstone: This is the top-end pick if you want the most luxurious version of the Tundra lineup.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard across the range, but blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors with automatic braking require an option package on lower trims or a Limited or higher.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Tundra?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 346 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.32% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $55,421 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $55,500 CAD sits slightly below last year's $64,030 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the truck more appealing to used buyers today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend more on condition, trim, and equipment than on broad market momentum alone.

Because the Tundra still carries Toyota’s durability reputation, well-kept examples should remain easier to market than weaker-nameplate rivals. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2024 Tundra earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS, but it also receives a Poor rating in the updated moderate overlap frontal-impact test for rear-seat passengers.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2024 Tundra has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, road-sign recognition, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors with automatic braking are not standard on lower trims unless you add an option package, or you move up to a Limited or higher.

The NHTSA gives Tundra Crew Cab 4WD models five-star ratings across the board, with a four-star rollover resistance rating. Ratings for Double Cab and rear-wheel-drive models are incomplete.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The TRD Pro stands out for its ride and handling, plus its open-air driving experience.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $51,289 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $55,500 CAD average.
• It offers a more advanced and efficient take on the Tundra formula.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $60,351 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $55,500 CAD average.
• It adds new tech features and a retro TRD Rally Package.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, broad availability, and Toyota’s durability story, the 2024 is the sensible default. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better value play; if you want newer tech and can spend more, the 2025 is the upgrade path.
