Used 2024 Toyota Tundra for Sale nearKitchener, ON

How much does the 2024 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 13.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 367 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Toyota Tundra earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 8/10.

The Tundra is a massive Texas-built full-size pickup that aims to compete with the heavyweights while leaning on Toyota’s reputation for dependability. It stands out for its powerful i-Force Max drivetrain, and the TRD Pro version is noted for its ride and handling. It also offers an open-air driving experience, which gives it a more distinctive feel than a typical big truck.

The trade-offs are clear: it cannot match the towing and payload capacities of the class leader, and it only beats the Ram 1500 when towing a trailer. You should also weigh the polarising design, poor forward visibility, and cheap-feeling interior materials.

With 35.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Tundra’s appeal is tied closely to Toyota’s long-standing reputation for dependability, and the expert verdict reinforces that reputation as a major selling point. The performance notes also point to a truck that is engineered with durability in mind, especially in the TRD Pro’s off-road hardware and the hybrid i-Force Max setup.

Toyota also includes a complimentary trial for Service Connect and Safety Connect for up to ten years, which adds some ownership convenience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the third-generation truck’s durability is still being proven over many years of service.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Tundra?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SR is the simplest version, while higher trims add more equipment and some safety features. The Tundra’s design is polarising, and the cabin materials can feel cheap, so you should inspect the interior closely on lower trims.
• Powertrain: Every Tundra uses a twin-turbocharged 3.4-litre V6, with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive available. The i-Force Max hybrid adds a 36-kilowatt electric motor and a 1.87-kilowatt-hour battery, and it is the strongest setup in the lineup.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, a road-sign recognition system, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors with automatic braking require an option package on lower trims or a Limited or higher.
• Infotainment: The truck has a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and over-the-air connected services through Toyota’s trial subscriptions.
• Fuel efficiency: The TRD Pro averaged 16.5 L/100 km in testing, while Natural Resources Canada’s combined figure was 12.3 L/100 km.

Which 2024 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Tundra is offered in 5 trim levels: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, and Capstone.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the entry point if you want the Tundra nameplate at the lowest price, but you should expect the fewest features and the biggest gaps in standard safety equipment.
• SR5: This is the trim to start with if you want a better balance of equipment and value without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• Limited: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it unlocks more convenience and safety equipment, including the features that are optional or unavailable on lower trims.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want a more upscale Tundra with more comfort and tech, and you are willing to pay for it.
• Capstone: This is the top-end choice if you want the most luxurious version of the Tundra lineup.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard across the lineup, but blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors with automatic braking require an option package on lower trims or a Limited or higher.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Tundra?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 367 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.77% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $55,079 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $55,079 CAD sits slightly below last year's $63,874 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the current average, you are starting from a softer pricing base than last year’s shoppers faced. That can make the truck easier to justify now, but it also means resale gains may be more modest if the market stays soft.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2024 Tundra earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS, and the Tundra Crew Cab 4WD models earn five-star ratings across the board from NHTSA, with a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, a road-sign recognition system, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors with automatic braking require an option package on lower trims or a Limited or higher.

There is a notable caveat: IIHS gives the Tundra a Poor rating in the newer moderate overlap frontal-impact test that measures rear-seat passenger protection.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 stands out for its powerful i-Force Max drivetrain and TRD Pro ride and handling.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $50,829 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $55,079 CAD average.
• It offers a more advanced and efficient take on the Tundra with a fresh look and modern powertrain.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $60,325 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $55,079 CAD average.
• It adds new tech features and a retro TRD Rally Package.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory, and Toyota character, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the better value play, while the 2025 makes sense if you want newer tech and are willing to pay more.
