Used 2024 Toyota Tundra for Sale nearBarrie, ON

How much does the 2024 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 13.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 350 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Toyota Tundra earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 8/10.

The 2024 Toyota Tundra is a massive Texas-built full-size pickup with a strong personality, and it stands out for its powerful i-Force Max drivetrain, TRD Pro ride and handling, and open-air driving experience. Those traits make it especially appealing if you want capability with a bit of flair rather than a purely conventional truck.

The trade-offs are clear: it still cannot match the towing and payload capacities of the segment leader, and it offers less diversity of configurations than some rivals. The design may also be polarising, forward visibility is poor, and the interior materials feel cheap.

With 34.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is a decent amount of market value to find if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Toyota Tundra’s appeal is tied closely to Toyota’s reputation for dependability, and the model is described as having long-term durability as part of its value proposition. The expert assessment also points to reliability as the Toyota’s chief selling point, even while noting that the third-generation truck’s long-term performance is still being established.

Its powertrain and overall engineering are presented as part of that durability story, with Toyota continuing to refine the formula rather than abandoning it. The cost-effectiveness discussion also reinforces that reliability remains central to the truck’s identity.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this generation’s durability record is still being proven over many years of service.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Toyota Tundra?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Tundra’s base SR is the simplest version, while higher trims add more equipment and some safety content that is not standard on lower trims. The cabin design and materials are a weak point, so you should pay close attention to how the interior feels and sounds in person.
• Powertrain: Every Tundra uses a twin-turbocharged 3.4-litre V6, with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive available. Models with the i-Force Max powertrain add a hybrid version of the V6, and the TRD Pro version is tuned for stronger off-road capability.
• Safety package: Every 2024 Tundra has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, a road-sign recognition system, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors with automatic braking require an option package on lower trims or a Limited trim or higher.
• Infotainment: The TRD Pro tested here has a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel. Toyota also offers connected-service trials, including remote and navigation features.
• Fuel efficiency: The tested hybrid TRD Pro averaged 16.5 litres per 100 kilometres, while Natural Resources Canada’s combined figure is 12.3 L/100 km. The i-Force Max also prefers premium fuel.

Which 2024 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Tundra is offered in 5 trim levels: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, and Capstone.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the entry point if you want the Tundra’s core capability without paying for extra luxury or technology. It makes sense if you mainly care about the truck’s basic full-size pickup mission.
• SR5: This is the trim to focus on if you want the best balance of price and equipment. It sits above the base model and should be the first stop for most used buyers.
• Limited: This is the smart upgrade if you want more comfort and the safety-package advantages that come with moving up the range. It is also the point where more of the Tundra’s useful tech and convenience content starts to make sense.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want a more upscale Tundra experience and are willing to pay for it. It suits buyers who want a richer feature set rather than the lowest possible purchase price.
• Capstone: This is the top-end choice for buyers who want the most luxurious version of the Tundra lineup. It is the least value-focused option, but it delivers the most premium positioning.

The safety-package note is important: blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors with automatic braking require an option package on lower trims or a Limited trim or higher.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Toyota Tundra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right truck.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 350 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.42% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $55,534 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $55,543 CAD sits slightly below last year's $64,152 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more truck for the money today, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive resale environment if prices stay under pressure. If you buy at the right number now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. Strong demand for well-kept examples should still support values, especially for desirable trims and configurations.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2024 Toyota Tundra earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS, and the Tundra Crew Cab 4WD models earn five-star ratings across the board from NHTSA, with a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2024 Tundra has Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, a road-sign recognition system, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors with automatic braking require an option package on lower trims or a Limited trim or higher.

There is one important caveat: in the newer moderate overlap frontal-impact test that measures rear-seat passenger safety, the Tundra earns a Poor rating. Lane-centring assist also proved inconsistent in testing.

Should I buy a 2024 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 stands out for its powerful i-Force Max drivetrain, TRD Pro ride and handling, and open-air driving experience.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $52,006 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $55,543 CAD average.
• It feels thoroughly updated and modern.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $60,242 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $55,543 CAD average.
• It adds new tech features and a retro TRD Rally Package.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, owner satisfaction, and distinctive character, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If your budget is tighter, the 2023 is the better value play, while the 2025 makes sense if you want the newer tech and are willing to pay more.
