Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in day-to-day use, with owners highlighting comfort, features, and overall satisfaction over time. That kind of response usually suggests you can count on the vehicle for regular ownership without feeling like it is a constant compromise.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the truck’s condition and maintenance history match its premium positioning.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 RAM 1500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,553 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $52,199 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 RAM 1500's resale value?

The current average of $52,199 CAD sits slightly below last year's $60,575 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy with less risk of immediate overpaying. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more heavily on condition, trim, and equipment than on broad market momentum alone. Strongly equipped examples and well-kept trucks should still attract attention, but you should expect buyers to be selective.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 RAM 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $41,579 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $52,199 CAD average.
• It prioritises comfort and premium materials.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $63,141 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $52,199 CAD average.
• It adds more technology and updated powertrain choices.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-round choice if you want the current-year balance of comfort, refinement, and value. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the smarter path, while the 2025 makes sense if you want newer tech and are willing to pay more.
