Used 2024 Nissan Sentra for Sale nearRimouski, QC

How much does the 2024 Nissan Sentra cost?

Prices have softened 14.14% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 651 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Nissan Sentra a good car?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is a solid value-focused compact sedan if you want comfort and simplicity more than sophistication, with a user rating of 3.7/5 and an expert rating of 7.00/10.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Cost effectiveness.

It stands out as an honest compact sedan with refreshed styling for 2024, a comfortable feel, and improved fuel economy, while still staying focused on everyday practicality. The trade-offs are clear: the back seat is cramped and the technology feels outdated, so it is less convincing if you want a more modern cabin experience.

With 30.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still offers some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Nissan Sentra reliable?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is built around straightforward mechanicals and a value-first approach, which helps keep ownership simple for used buyers.

Its efficiency-focused updates for 2024 include a reengineered CVT aimed at smoother operation and better fuel efficiency, plus an engine start-stop system to help reduce fuel use. Nissan also backs it with three years or 60,000 kilometres of basic coverage and five years or 100,000 kilometres of powertrain coverage.

For a used buyer, the main long-term risk is that the Sentra’s appeal depends more on sensible commuting than on standout performance or advanced technology, so condition and maintenance history matter more than chasing extra features.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Nissan Sentra?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base S is the most basic version, with 16-inch steel wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen, a 4.2-inch instrument cluster display, and a four-speaker audio system. Higher trims add more polish, including 16-inch alloy wheels on SV, 18-inch wheels and model-specific styling on SR, and leatherette upholstery on SR Premium.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 149 horsepower and front-wheel drive. In Canada, the S and SR grades can be had with a six-speed manual transmission, while the CVT was reengineered for 2024 to improve fuel efficiency and smoother operation.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. SV and SR models add adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera system is offered on SR Premium.
• Infotainment: The base model uses a 7-inch touchscreen, while SV and SR models get an 8-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch instrument cluster display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, but wireless versions are not offered.
• Fuel efficiency: Manual-transmission models are rated at 9.4 L/100 km city, 6.4 highway, and 8.0 combined, while CVT models are rated at 7.3 city, 5.8 highway, and 6.6 combined. SR trims are rated at 8.2 combined with the manual and 6.8 combined with the CVT.

Which 2024 Nissan Sentra trim should I buy?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra is offered in 5 trim levels: S, S Plus, SV, SR, and SR Premium.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point if you want the lowest-cost Sentra and are comfortable with the most basic equipment. It gives you the core value proposition, but the cabin tech and feature content are clearly the simplest in the range.
• S Plus: This trim mainly changes the manual transmission to a CVT, so it makes sense if you want the smoother, more efficiency-focused automatic setup without moving up the trim ladder.
• SV: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds 16-inch alloy wheels, the larger 8-inch touchscreen, the 7-inch instrument cluster display, a six-speaker audio system, SiriusXM compatibility, and adaptive cruise control.
• SR: Choose this if you want the sportier look, 18-inch wheels, and model-specific styling elements. It also keeps the manual transmission available in Canada, which will appeal if you prefer a more involved drive.
• SR Premium: This is the most feature-rich version, adding leatherette upholstery and the available eight-speaker Bose audio system, along with the 360-degree camera system.

The standard Safety Shield 360 package is a strong part of the Sentra’s appeal, while adaptive cruise control is added on SV and SR models.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Nissan Sentra?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 651 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.14% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,541 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $21,541 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,087 CAD.

That drop suggests the Sentra is currently a more buyer-friendly used-car purchase than it was a year ago. If you plan to sell later, you should expect the market to remain sensitive to mileage, condition, and trim level rather than assuming strong price retention. For you as a shopper, that can work in your favour now, but it also means resale value may not be the Sentra’s strongest long-term advantage.

Is the 2024 Nissan Sentra safe?

The 2024 Nissan Sentra received the top “Good” rating in the IIHS’s original side-impact crash test, but only an “Acceptable” rating in the updated version, and it received five-star ratings in rollover and side crash tests from NHTSA.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, front and rear automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. SV and SR models add adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera system is offered on SR Premium.

The mixed crash-test results and the poor headlight rating are the main cautions here, so you should pay close attention to trim level and equipment when shopping used.

Should I buy a 2024 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.14% compared with last year.
• The 2024 model brings refreshed styling and mechanical changes aimed at improved fuel economy.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest version of this generation with updated styling and better efficiency, the 2024 is the one to target. If you are mainly chasing the lowest possible price, a nearby model year may be worth a look, but the 2024’s refresh makes it the better all-around pick for most used buyers.
