How much does the 2024 GMC Yukon cost?

Prices have softened 16.47% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 142 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 GMC Yukon a good car?

Yes — the 2024 GMC Yukon earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner approval. It stands out as a full-size SUV with V8 power, a turbodiesel option, and seating for up to nine passengers depending on configuration, so it suits you well if you need serious family-hauling capacity without giving up a premium feel. Its broader appeal comes from upscale amenities, plush materials, modern technology, and a cabin/package layout that prioritises space and versatility. 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 GMC Yukon reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Yukon’s reliability picture is tied to a generation that brought major packaging and cabin improvements, including a lower floor, more cargo area, and more passenger space thanks to independent rear multilink suspension with coil springs. It also benefits from a relatively quiet model year with only a minor update to OnStar connected safety service, so there were no major year-specific changes to complicate ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that this generation’s reliability has not been especially strong so far, so a careful inspection and service-history review matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 GMC Yukon?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 142 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.47% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $75,843 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 GMC Yukon's resale value?

The current average of $77,697 CAD sits slightly below last year's $93,012 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Yukon has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilises. If you buy near the lower end of the current range, you may have less downside left than someone who paid closer to the previous year’s average. The Yukon’s premium positioning and broad utility can still support demand, especially among shoppers who want space, capability, and a more upscale feel.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 GMC Yukon or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 Yukon makes the most sense if you want a spacious, premium-feeling full-size SUV with strong utility and you value the current market softness. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2024 is the better primary target when you want the latest version of this generation’s space, technology, and capability mix.
