(2 reviews)Absolutely love the truck.. I have been driving small EVs for 12 years already and I wanted to replace my 2018 F-150 with electric model.. So I did!.. The platinum trim is just awesome moving up from Lariat. Being able to use Tesla supercharger network is a godsend because CCS networks just plainly suck!
The Ford Lightning is an absolutely awesome truck in my opinion. EVs are obviously a bit of an adjustment to your normal vehicle routines and expectations. However, the benefits are by far worth it. The Lightning is an EV that is designed really well for those who want an actual truck that can be used for real work & towing. The frunk is awesome for stowing tools, sporting gear, luggage, or anything that you want to keep dry and secure rather than leaving in the back of the truck bed. The powering outlet locations throughout the truck are so handy and useful. The interior layout is perfectly generous and spacious. The bed length is perfect in my opinion and is longer than the average super short 5 bed length like most compact trucks or other EV truck options. The lariat trim option is my favorite and perfectly luxurious and useful in its layout. For the Flash trim option. I really wish that Ford would add an opening in the back window for wind flow as well as running longer pieces of lumber from the bed into the cab. I give Ford huge props & kudos for coming to market with an actual real truck that is an EV quicker than the other EV truck manufacturers that are just now finally starting to show up. Fords experience is ahead of the game especially since first generations typically always have hiccups. Ford has already worked those bugs out and is perfecting their product while everyone else is just starting out. The only exception is Rivian which is a great luxury compact truck but I would not consider it a real work truck.
