Used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearWindsor, ON

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 13.33% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 159 listings available, which suggests you should have some room to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

It stands out as a larger, bolder three-row midsize SUV with more passenger space, especially in the third row, and a more rugged look than before. It also brings more standard driver aids and a much larger touchscreen, which makes it feel more modern and family-friendly.

The main trade-offs are that the base LS trim is a little too basic and the range-topping RS trim is pricey. It also feels its size behind the wheel, so you should expect a big-SUV driving experience rather than something nimble.

With 32.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is a decent amount of market value to be found if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Traverse is presented as a more capable and more modern update, with a fully refreshed cabin, more standard driver aids, and a stronger overall package than the outgoing version. Its turbocharged four-cylinder also replaces the old V6 with more horsepower and torque, which points to a more up-to-date powertrain.

The fuel-saving stop-and-start feature works so seamlessly that it fades into the background, which is a good sign for everyday usability. Chevrolet also gives you a broad set of standard safety and convenience features, which can reduce the hassle of living with the vehicle day to day.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is simply that this is a large, complex SUV, so you should pay close attention to maintenance history and how well the electronics and driver aids function.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT, Z71, and RS each bring a different personality, and the base trim is described as a little too basic. The Z71 is aimed at shoppers who want moderate off-road capability, while the RS is the most fully loaded but also the priciest.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is standard in Canada, and the Z71 uses a dual-clutch setup that can send torque to the rear wheel with the most grip.
• Safety package: Every model gets automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera. Super Cruise is also offered.
• Infotainment: The standard 17.7-inch touchscreen is a major upgrade, and it is paired with an 11-inch digital instrument display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, and the system runs on Google-based software.
• Fuel efficiency: Official Natural Resources Canada estimates are 12.4 L/100 km in the city, 9.9 L/100 km on the highway, and 11.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, Z71, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the entry point, but it is also the trim most likely to feel too basic if you want the Traverse’s newer tech and more upscale feel.
• Z71: This is the best-value choice if you want the Traverse’s added capability and rugged character without jumping to the most expensive model. It suits you if you want a more distinctive family SUV and may occasionally tackle rougher roads.
• RS: This is the top-end choice if you want the most fully loaded Traverse, but it comes at a steep price.

The safety content points to a broad standard driver-assistance package across the range, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core safety tech.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 159 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $48,085 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $48,314 CAD sits slightly below last year's $55,745 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the 2024 Traverse more attractive to used buyers today. For a future seller, it also means there may be less room for appreciation if prices continue to normalise.

The good news is that a model with strong demand, modern tech, and broad family appeal can still hold attention well. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintenance records complete, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The 2024 Traverse had not undergone crash tests from NHTSA or IIHS at the time of the test drive.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

All models get automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera. Super Cruise is also offered, adding hands-free driving capability on mapped roads.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds more space, more standard driver aids, and a much larger touchscreen.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $52,759 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $48,314 CAD average.
• It adds standard trailering equipment.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the smarter starting point because it already brings the major redesign, stronger tech, and a softer used-market price. If towing convenience matters more and you are willing to pay extra, the 2025 is the better fit.
