Used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearRichmond Hill, ON

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 8.00% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 184 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The 2024 Traverse is a larger, bolder three-row midsize SUV that feels more substantial than the outgoing version. It brings more space for passengers, especially in the third row, plus a much larger touchscreen and more standard driver aids, which makes it a strong fit if you want a family-focused SUV with a modern cabin.

The trade-offs are that the base LS trim is a little too basic, the range-topping RS trim is pricey, and the Traverse still feels its size. Even so, 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Traverse is presented as a more substantial, better-equipped redesign, with more standard driver aids and a fully modernised cabin. Its turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder replaces the previous V6 and delivers more power and torque, while the stop-and-start system operates seamlessly.

Chevrolet also includes a wide range of standard driver aids, which can reduce day-to-day stress and help support confidence over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a larger, more complex SUV can bring higher running costs if you choose a higher trim or more heavily optioned example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT, Z71, and RS each bring a different personality, and the base trim is described as a little too basic. The Z71 is aimed at shoppers who want moderate off-road capability, while the RS is loaded with nearly every available feature but costs more.
• Powertrain: The 2024 Traverse uses a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque. It replaces the previous V6 and is described as having more power and torque, with all-wheel drive standard in Canada.
• Safety package: Every model gets automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera.
• Infotainment: You get a standard 17.7-inch touchscreen, an 11-inch digital instrument display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google-based software, and wireless charging. Super Cruise is also offered.
• Fuel efficiency: The official Natural Resources Canada estimates measure 12.4 L/100 km in the city, 9.9 L/100 km on the highway, and 11.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, Z71, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the entry point, but the review notes that the base LS trim is a little too basic, so you should pay close attention to equipment if you want the best value.
• Z71: This is the best fit if you want the Traverse’s more rugged character and the moderate off-road intent described in the review. It also adds the more advanced AWD setup with dual-clutch torque distribution.
• RS: This is the range-topper and comes loaded with nearly every available feature, but it is also described as pricey.

The Z71 is the trim most clearly positioned for shoppers who want the Traverse’s rugged side, while the RS is the most feature-rich choice. The safety package is standard across the range.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 184 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.00% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $48,076 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $48,763 CAD sits slightly below last year's $53,003 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Traverse more attractive to used buyers today. For a future seller, it also means you may need to price competitively if you want to move the vehicle quickly.

The good news is that the Traverse’s strong equipment list and family-friendly appeal should help it stay relevant with shoppers who want space and modern tech. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The 2024 Traverse had not undergone crash tests from NHTSA or IIHS at the time of the test drive.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Every model gets automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera. That gives you a broad standard safety package across the range.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2024 brings a rugged redesign, more passenger space, and a much larger touchscreen.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $51,993 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $48,763 CAD average.
• It adds standard trailering equipment.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with strong equipment and broad appeal. If towing convenience matters more than price, the 2025 is worth a look.
