Used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearKitchener, ON

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 9.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 177 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The Traverse’s redesign gives you a larger, bolder three-row SUV with a more rugged look, more standard driver aids, and more passenger space, especially in the third row. It also brings a much larger touchscreen, which should appeal if you want a modern family hauler with a more distinctive presence.

The main trade-offs are that the base LS trim is a little too basic, the range-topping RS trim is pricey, and the Traverse still feels its size.

With 31.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Traverse is positioned as a more substantial, more modern version of Chevrolet’s three-row SUV, with a redesigned cabin and a broader set of standard driver aids. Its turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder also replaces the outgoing V6 with more horsepower and torque, which suggests a more up-to-date mechanical package.

The fuel-saving stop-and-start feature works seamlessly, which is a small but useful sign of refinement in everyday driving. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a larger, more complex SUV can bring higher running costs if you need repairs or replacement parts.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT, Z71, and RS each bring a different personality, and the base trim is described as a little too basic. The Z71 is the more rugged choice, while the RS is the most expensive and comes loaded with nearly every available feature.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder with 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque, replacing the previous V6. All-wheel drive is standard, and the Z71 uses a dual-clutch system that can send torque to the rear wheel with the most grip.
• Safety package: Every model gets automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera.
• Infotainment: You get a standard 17.7-inch touchscreen, an 11-inch digital instrument display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google-based software, and available Super Cruise hands-free driving.
• Fuel efficiency: Official Natural Resources Canada estimates are 12.4 L/100 km in the city, 9.9 L/100 km on the highway, and 11.3 L/100 km combined.

Which 2024 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, Z71, and RS.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the entry point, but the base trim is described as a little too basic, so it makes sense mainly if you want the Traverse’s core space and tech at the lowest price.
• Z71: This is the best-value choice if you want the more distinctive rugged look and the added capability for reasonably rugged terrain without paying RS money.
• RS: This is the top trim and comes loaded with nearly every available feature, but it is pricey, so it suits you best if you want the most equipment and are willing to pay for it.

The Z71 is the all-new addition to the range, and it is intended for shoppers who want some moderate off-road capability rather than serious trail duty.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting deep distress pricing.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 177 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.80% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $48,055 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $48,751 CAD sits slightly below last year's $54,046 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help future sellers if they buy at today’s lower average. If the Traverse continues to hold its appeal as a roomy, well-equipped three-row SUV, that should support demand when you eventually resell it.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The 2024 Traverse had not undergone crash tests from NHTSA or IIHS at the time of the test drive.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevrolet fits every model with automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, traffic-sign recognition, rear pedestrian alert, and a surround-view parking camera. Super Cruise is also offered, adding hands-free driving capability on mapped roads.

A key caveat is that official crash-test results were not yet available, so you should weigh the extensive standard driver aids against the lack of published test scores.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds more standard driver aids and a much larger touchscreen.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $52,429 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $48,751 CAD average.
• It makes the Trailering Package standard.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with strong equipment and broad appeal. If towing convenience matters more than upfront cost, the 2025 is worth a look, but price-sensitive buyers should start with the 2024.
