Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Malibu or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version of this final-generation Malibu and you value a roomy cabin, simple tech, and a lower used price than last year, the 2024 is the cleanest choice. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby model year may give you similar practicality for less money, so it is worth comparing condition and asking prices side by side.
