CarGurus Analysis: 2024 Acura RDX
Summary
With 66 currently listed for sale and an average price of $42,871 CAD, 36.4% of 2024 Acura RDX listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2024 Acura RDX 5 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2024 Acura RDX stands out because it blends sporty character with everyday usefulness in a way that has defined the model’s third generation. It uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine rated at 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and Acura’s torque-vectoring SH-AWD system. Acura’s Integrated Dynamics System also gives the driver a choice of Snow, Comfort, Sport, and Sport+ modes, which helps the RDX feel more adaptable than many compact luxury crossovers.
It is also well equipped across the range. Standard features include 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry and ignition, heated and power front seats, faux leather seating surfaces, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a panoramic sunroof. The AcuraWatch safety package is standard and includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard as well, though the True Touchpad Interface on a 10.2-inch display is described as an improvement over older systems without being especially intuitive.
Practicality is another strength. With the rear seats folded, cargo capacity reaches 2,260 litres, while 835 litres is available with the rear seats up. At the same time, the RDX is not without compromises: the infotainment system can be frustrating to use, and the cargo area is not as generous as some class leaders. Even so, the 2024 Acura RDX remains appealing for buyers who want a premium small SUV that is comfortable, quick, and genuinely enjoyable to drive.

Great value for excellent car. We are Honda lovers as we have owned 4 over the last 15 years and 1 jeep. Hondas have never broken down or needed repairs other than brakes. The Rubicon top of the line was a constant money drain for service

For long-term ownership, the main risk is more about living with its frustrating infotainment than worrying about the core vehicle itself.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Acura RDX?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.
- Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 205 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.58% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $45,747 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2024 Acura RDX's resale value?
The current average of $45,747 CAD sits slightly below last year's $51,159 CAD.
That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the RDX easier to buy now but may limit upside for a future seller. If you purchase at the right price, you may have a better chance of preserving value than someone who paid closer to the prior-year average. Demand should remain supported by the model’s strong owner satisfaction and premium positioning.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2024 Acura RDX or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.58% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2023 if:
- At $41,865 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $45,747 CAD average.
- It offers strong performance and comfort at a relatively affordable price.
Consider the 2025 if:
- At $53,323 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $45,747 CAD average.
- It adds subtle styling updates and a better Apple CarPlay and Android Auto presentation.
The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around choice if you want the current-year balance of value, satisfaction, and available inventory. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the smarter path; if you want the freshest updates and can pay more, the 2025 is the better fit.
