Is the 2024 Acura RDX a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Acura RDX earns a 5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a sporty yet practical compact luxury crossover. The overview points to a strong mix of performance, comfort, and utility, with standard safety equipment, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and useful cargo space for everyday life. If you want a luxury SUV that is easy to live with and still feels engaging to drive, this model year fits that brief well. Is the 2024 Acura RDX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the RDX’s appeal comes from its balanced design, standard safety equipment, and broad feature set rather than any single flashy gimmick. Its main drawback is the infotainment setup, which can be frustrating to use, but that is more of a usability issue than a mechanical red flag. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that technology quirks may affect day-to-day satisfaction more than durability.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Acura RDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 223 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.30% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $45,085 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $45,085 CAD sits slightly below last year's $50,827 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favourable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the RDX’s value will depend on how well it holds buyer interest against newer alternatives. Its strong feature content and broad appeal should help, but the current trend suggests you should not expect rapid appreciation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $42,074 CAD, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $45,085 CAD average.
• It offers strong performance and comfort at a lower price.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $52,395 CAD, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $45,085 CAD average.
• It adds a light refresh with updated styling and a more upscale cabin presentation.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around choice if you want the strongest balance of value, features, and current-market pricing. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the smarter path; if you want the freshest updates, the 2025 is the better fit.
