Is the 2023 Porsche Macan a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Porsche Macan earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

Owners consistently praise its sporty driving experience, especially the handling and fun-to-drive character. They also highlight the standard features and high-quality interior, which fit well if you want a premium compact SUV that feels more driver-focused than practical. That said, the Macan’s compact size and family usability trade-offs matter if you need more rear-seat room.

With 34.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2023 Porsche Macan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centred on its solid build quality, enjoyable driving experience, and premium feel. The comments also suggest it is a model people feel good about living with over time, rather than one that quickly loses its appeal.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about satisfaction and more about choosing a well-kept example that has been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Porsche Macan?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 151 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.61% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $58,814 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $59,019 CAD sits slightly below last year's $74,339 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently now but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at a strong price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later. The Macan’s premium image and owner satisfaction should help support demand, but resale value will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $53,651 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $59,019 CAD average.
• It delivers a more sports-car-like driving feel than most compact SUVs.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the newer pricing context and strong owner satisfaction in a premium compact SUV. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2022 is the better value path, especially if you can find one in good condition with the equipment you want.
