Is the 2023 Nissan Sentra a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. The 2023 Sentra is positioned as an everyday commuter with a modern look, a straightforward trim range, and a strong emphasis on standard safety equipment. It is also described as efficient, easy to live with, and well equipped for the class, which makes it a sensible fit if you want practical compact-sedan transportation rather than something sporty. The market shows 31.0% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Sentra’s appeal comes from its newer-generation design, standard Safety Shield 360 equipment, and a simple, commuter-friendly setup. It is presented as a well-rounded compact sedan with few major shortcomings, which is encouraging if you want a used car that should be straightforward to own. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about complexity and more about choosing a well-maintained example that has been cared for consistently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 668 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,913 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $19,913 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,688 CAD.

That decline suggests the Sentra is currently more buyer-friendly than seller-friendly, which can help you negotiate if you are shopping now. For a future seller, the softer pricing means resale expectations should stay realistic unless the vehicle is exceptionally well kept or especially well equipped. The good news is that a practical, safety-focused compact sedan can still hold steady appeal with used-car shoppers over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $18,485 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $19,913 CAD average.
• It is a newer-generation compact sedan that feels current and covers the basics well.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $21,573 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $19,913 CAD average.
• It brings refreshed styling and improved fuel economy.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around pick if you want a balanced mix of value, safety, and current-market pricing. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better budget path; if you want the newer look and can spend more, the 2024 is the upgrade path.
