Is the 2023 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 643 listings available.

What is the 2023 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $20,053 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,973 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sentra has become more accessible for buyers, which can make it easier to move later if you price it competitively. For a future seller, the current trend points to a market that rewards clean, well-equipped examples rather than overpricing. Because the model is positioned around value and practicality, resale should remain tied closely to condition, mileage, and how well your asking price matches the market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.71% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $18,690 CAD, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $20,053 CAD average.
• It is a broadly competent, newer-generation compact sedan with few shortcomings.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $21,541 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $20,053 CAD average.
• It adds refreshed styling and improved fuel economy.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around choice if you want a balanced mix of value, comfort, and safety features at a softened market price. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the smarter budget path; if you want the newer look and efficiency updates, the 2024 is worth the extra spend.
