Is the 2023 Nissan Kicks a good car?

Yes — 4.71/5 is a strong user rating for a value-focused subcompact SUV. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness, advanced safety features, and fuel efficiency, which line up well with its role as a straightforward, economical daily driver. If you want a practical small SUV that keeps running costs low and puts affordability first, the 2023 Kicks fits that brief well. With 27.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also a decent amount of market value to consider.

Is the 2023 Nissan Kicks reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, trouble-free, and easy to count on for everyday use. That kind of owner sentiment matters for a used buyer because it suggests the Kicks has built trust over time, especially among shoppers who prioritise low-stress ownership and long-term value.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Kicks?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 943 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.10% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,800 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $21,062 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,692 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Kicks easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices stay soft. For resale, the key question is whether demand remains steady enough to support values after your ownership period. Because this model year has strong owner satisfaction, it should continue to attract practical-minded shoppers who value efficiency and low running costs.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 Kicks makes the most sense if you want a value-first small SUV with strong owner approval and you can live with its modest performance. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, the 2023 is a sensible target; if you want to chase the lowest possible asking price, a nearby year may be worth comparing closely.
