Is the 2023 Nissan Kicks a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Nissan Kicks earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its value, spaciousness, safety features, and fuel efficiency, and those strengths line up well with its role as a practical, no-frills subcompact SUV for everyday transportation. If you want an affordable small SUV that keeps running costs low and focuses on usefulness over performance, this model fits that brief well. With 26.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still a healthy amount of market opportunity to shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Nissan Kicks reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centred on value, efficiency, and everyday usability. That kind of response suggests the Kicks is the sort of vehicle many buyers can count on for routine commuting and low-stress use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about complexity and more about whether the vehicle’s modest performance and small size match your needs over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Kicks?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 26.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 978 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.81% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,804 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $20,954 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,495 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become a bit softer, which can make the vehicle easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller if prices stay under pressure. If you plan to resell later, the current trend means your return will depend heavily on how well you buy today and how cleanly the vehicle is maintained. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 26.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 is a sensible choice if you want a value-focused subcompact SUV with strong owner approval and a softer used-market price than last year. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs any differences in market availability.
