Used 2023 Kia Telluride for Sale nearRichmond Hill, ON

How much does the 2023 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 15.42% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 238 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2023 Kia Telluride a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Kia Telluride earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 9/10 expert rating, which puts it firmly in strong-used-buy territory.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the comfort, technology, and upscale feel, and many say it feels more luxurious than its price suggests. The Telluride also stands out for its smooth ride and extensive feature content, which makes it especially appealing if you want a family-focused three-row SUV that feels well equipped.

The main trade-offs are that some interior materials feel cheap, and the steering wheel and manual third-row seating drew some criticism from owners. In testing, the off-road-oriented versions also showed a bit more squish in turns, and the steering can feel overly firm in Sport mode.

For family use, the Telluride’s roomy, well-equipped layout and strong value proposition make it easy to recommend. With 28.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2023 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners’ feedback points to a vehicle that feels comfortable, dependable, and easy to live with over time, with many highlighting the upscale feel and broad feature set. The expert evaluation also describes it as a strong all-around SUV that is hard to criticise, which supports the case for solid day-to-day dependability.

The Telluride’s long list of standard equipment and broad appeal suggest it should be a reassuring used purchase if you want a three-row SUV you can count on. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about major flaws and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not overused.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Kia Telluride?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The X-Line and X-Pro add a raised suspension, unique exterior details, and a more rugged look, while the base EX misses some of the more distinctive styling and capability cues found higher up the range.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.8-litre V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and AWD. The X-Pro adds off-road-oriented hardware and a towing-capacity boost.
• Safety package: Every version includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, junction turning assist, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Highway Drive Assist 1.5, automatic high beams, driver attention warning, and Rear Occupant Alert. Advanced Highway Drive Assist with Lane Change Assist starts on SX trim, and additional collision-avoidance features arrive on SX and higher.
• Infotainment: All models get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, navigation, Kia Connect services, OTA updates, and wireless phone charging. The system does not accept climate-control voice commands.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert test recorded 9.8 L/100 km in mixed driving for the X-Line, 11.5 L/100 km for the X-Pro during off-road use, and official combined consumption of 11.4 L/100 km.

Which 2023 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2023 Kia Telluride is offered in 5 trim levels: EX, SX, SX Limited, X-Line, and X-Pro.

Here's the short version:

• EX: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core Telluride formula: standard AWD, the full-size three-row layout, and the broad safety and tech package that makes the SUV so appealing. It makes sense if you want the Telluride experience at the lowest starting point.
• SX: This is the trim to watch if you want the best balance of equipment and value, because it adds the premium audio system and unlocks Advanced Highway Drive Assist with Lane Change Assist. It also starts the step up to more advanced collision-avoidance features.
• SX Limited: Choose this if you want the most upscale feel and the richest equipment mix without leaning into the rugged styling of the X-Line or X-Pro.
• X-Line: This is the best fit if you want the more rugged look and the raised suspension, plus the updated exterior treatment that gives the Telluride a mild off-road attitude.
• X-Pro: Pick this if you want the most capability-focused version, with all-terrain tires, exclusive 18-inch wheels, improved cooling, and the highest towing capacity in the range.

Safety-package note: Advanced Highway Drive Assist with Lane Change Assist starts on SX trim, while the additional collision-avoidance features are also reserved for SX and higher.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Kia Telluride?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without rushing into the first listing you see.

• Deal availability: 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 238 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.42% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $41,633 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $41,633 CAD sits slightly below last year's $49,221 CAD.

That softer pricing can be good news if you are buying now, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. A vehicle that has already moved down in value can still hold up well if demand remains strong, but the resale outlook depends on how much of the current discount persists.

The Telluride’s broad appeal, strong equipment list, and family-friendly reputation should help support demand over time. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Kia Telluride safe?

The 2023 Kia Telluride is a Top Safety Pick+ from the IIHS, its highest rating.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every version includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, junction turning assist, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, Safe Exit Assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Highway Drive Assist 1.5, automatic high beams, driver attention warning, and Rear Occupant Alert.

Advanced Highway Drive Assist 1.5 is standard, and it combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centring assist for semi-autonomous highway support. Advanced Highway Drive Assist adds Lane Change Assist and starts on SX trim, while additional collision-avoidance features are also reserved for SX and higher.

Should I buy a 2023 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds minor styling updates, new technology, and X-Line/X-Pro trims with more rugged character.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $46,761 CAD, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $41,633 CAD average.
• It keeps the formula largely intact while adding only minor detail changes.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2023 is the smarter buy because it delivers the Telluride’s core strengths at a lower average price. If you are willing to pay more for a newer model year with only modest changes, the 2024 is the cleaner alternative for price-insensitive buyers.
